Palin: Anti-HCR Violence Stories Are ‘Ginned Up’
Friday, March 26, 2010 at 4:27 pm
At a rally for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Sarah Palin — who I do think has been unfairly attacked as a source of “violent” backlash against health care — dismissed outright the idea that opponents of reform were reacting violently. Palin called it a “ginned-up controversy about us common-sense conservatives kinda inciting violence,” inspiring someone in the crowd to yell that activists would oppose the bill “with our votes!”
“That’s right!” said Palin. “When we take up our arms we’re talking about our vote.”
McCain, who made multiple promises to “repeal” the health care bill — “we’ll fight it in the courts, we’ll fight it in the streets” — called the uprising against health care a “peaceful revolution.”

The attacks against Palin are part of the smear campaign against anyone willing to defend Americans from the Marxist Obamacare scam. The more Palin is attacked, the more support she deserves.
Dictator Obama and his comrades accuse the victims of their Obamacare scam, the American people, of violence! Imitating Hugo Chavez and the rest of the Marxist thugs, they vilify and demonize those who try to defend themselves.
The American people must not allow Obama and his comrades to intimidate and prevent them from defending themselves – and their children and grandchildren – from the abomination of Obamacare and socialism/Marxism!
Obama and his comrades and operatives are using Alinksy tactics to smear and vilify those who defend themselves. They accuse them of violence! It's communists and Marxists like Obama's buddies who use violence!
For example, Obama's buddy William Ayers (at whose house Barack Obama launched his campaign for state senate in 1995), bombed countless locations trying to destroy our country and NEVER expressed a shred of regret for any of his crimes! He’s said that he wished he and his group had set more bombs!
Here's a timeline of crimes of Obama’s buddy William Ayers:
7 October 1969 – Bombing of Haymarket Police Statue in Chicago, apparently as a “kickoff” for the “Days of Rage” riots in the city October 8–11, 1969. The Weathermen later claim credit for the bombing in their book, “Prairie Fire.”
8 October-11, 1969 – The “Days of Rage” riots occur in Chicago in which 287 Weatherman members from throughout the country were arrested and a large amount of property damage was done.
6 December 1969 – Bombing of several Chicago Police cars parked in a precinct parking lot at 3600 North Halsted Street, Chicago. The WUO stated in their book “Prairie Fire” that they had did the explosion.
27 December-31, 1969 – Weathermen hold a “War Council” meeting in Flint, MI, where they finalize their plans to submerge into an underground status from which they plan to commit strategic acts of sabotage against the government. Thereafter they are called the “Weather Underground Organization” (WUO).
13 February 1970 – Bombing of several police vehicles of the Berkeley, California, Police Department.
16 February 1970 – Bombing of Golden Gate Park branch of the San Francisco Police Department, killing one officer and injuring a number of other policemen.
And much more… http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/a_timeline_of_…

I've read some BS in my lifetime, but this hysteria about HCR is ridiculous.
It was going to happen. Why should I pay an insurance company anything.
They serve no purpose. The only reason the Repugs didn't want it is because
of their campaign contributions. This is their status symbol. “I have insurance
because I'm better than you”.

Since you went to all the trouble to write such a long dissertation, I thought the least I could do was provide some constructive feedback for you…
In your first 4 paragraphs you use the words “Marxist” 3 times, “Dictator” once, “Thugs” once, and “Comrades” 3 times. Those same 4 paragraphs contain a total of 131 words. That means you devoted 6% of your words to the tried and true Pinko-Commie-Accusation-Rant. A fairly respectable score, but I have the feeling that you could do better.
Unfortunately this does translate into a 0 rating on the Credibility-Scale when it comes to accusing anyone else of waging a “smear campaign”.
On the bright side, having your head stuck that far up your ass must save you a fortune on colonoscopies.

The fantasy that the GOP can repeal the law just keeps on bumping along. What no one in the Republican party will say is that it takes 67 votes in the Senate or to cross the President's desk.
It is a statistical impossibility for the GOP to gain that many seats, and will be for a long time. This country is STILL smarting from the failed Bush policies. The American people won't forget that for a loooong time to come. To put the same people who almost flushed this country down the toilet back in the driver's seat? Dream on.
Does anyone with more than two working brain cells think President Obama will repeal his own law? Tells you what Michelle Bachmann is working with. That there are others who are jumping on the Bachmann crazy train says a lot about how ideologically bankrupt the GOP is.
The manufactured hysteria is owned by the GOP and the likes of Fox noise and Rush Limbaugh. That none of them will come out now to stop it but rather disavow themselves while placing blame elsewhere just underscores the inability of the GOP to lead.
The McCain/Palin ticket was stomped in 2008. He will be stomped again in November. Palin's popularity is a double-edged sword, McCain didn't learn that in 2008. Enjoy your retirement, John.

All those numbers and, never once, do you tell us *how old* your bogeyman Obama was, when he was helping Ayers with all the dastardly deeds…

Yes, Sarah; you're ever so right…Nothing says “we're the most peaceful lambs” better than painting gun cross-hairs on the faces of opposition's (elected) officials on your FaceBook page….

I think you are missing Mr. Sosa's point.
Mr. Sosa says 'The more Palin is attacked, the more support she deserves,' and then attacks Wm. Ayers.
Mr. Sosa is drawing parallels between Wm. Ayers and the ex-governor, stating Mr. Ayers deserves more support.
While I may not agree, I will defend to the death his right to say it.

then John Mccain is lying to your face because it cant be repealed and the repubs know it. all the president has to do is veto it

I could compile a laundry-list of Militia/Secessionist/WhiteSumpremacist/anti-Choice murdr & violence which wouldn't even have to include your hero Tim McVeigh—-what's the point? except trying to distract from the issue at hand here: teabaggerz-gone-wild encouraged by their DowagerQueen Sarah to continue violence, threats and racial slurs against elected officials and disabled Americans demonstrating for HCR. Just a lame attempt to misdirect the topic at hand.
Fail

uhh, check your sources. This bill is so unpopular with independents keeping it alive will require much more than demonizing the usual demons. I can't imagine ever wanting to look at SP's Facebook page but the crosshairs you refer to are supposedly on a map, pointing to electoral districts that have become vulnerable “targets”.
Comment posted March 28, 2010 @ 12:43 am
“…keeping it alive…”? What a laugh! You go right ahead and devote the next 2 years of your life to repealing this bill—but you better have lots of time, energy & $, cause it'll a full-time job for you and all the teabaggerz (“independents”, riiiiiight) you can string together.
Let me put it another way: “Keeping it alive” is ass-backwards. HCR has a life of its own— it is your misguided cause which is about to flatline, mp.

Hard not to agree with the idea that HCR won't be repealed with O as president. I'm not so sure this is such a good thing, as it will be all the Republicans need to win and win again. As for the country smarting from Bush, I don't think so, not outside districts that never voted for him. After all, which of Bush's major policies has O decided to reverse?
All that aside, the Republicans are talking seriously about repeal after 2012, not the next Congress. Given how independents have swung around in the last year, this doesn't seem unreasonable. Until then HCR is all they need to continue their stunning comeback, the one that began with O's first speeches on the subject. My own view is that move-on language has become dated and counter-productive in this environment. Nothing personal, and I think we'd agree on most issues, but our side would do well to get the anger out of the voice that independents hear.

I'm a little bewildered by your comment – the insurance companies were some of the biggest winners out of this bill. No interstate competition, a mandate that everyone purchase their product, medicare weakened, from their point of view what's not to like?

Poor John McCain: he really is a shadow of the man he once was. Once he proudly stood up and defied his party when he believed they were wrong. He stood for campaign finance reform and immigration reform.
Now the war hero is reduced to groveling for votes to beat out a pathetic birther radio host in the primary. Not even the general election. The primary, for goodness' sake. He even has to call Demon Barbie to help him. And he's making absurd promises about a health care repeal that will never happen.
He knows it won't happen. He's been in Washington for over 25 years and he knows the legislative process. He knows the Republicans don't have the votes and won't have them next year either. So Senator McCain is lying. So sad.

“Ginned up”, huh?
This weekend Fox brought on teabagger/failed rock star Ted Nugent to exhort the troops: “We've got to kill the pigs”
Congressman Weiner this weekend received a package in the mail containing white powder.
“Ginned up”, huh?

Finally! A calm voice not repeating the same tired nonsense that has embroiled us into the shameful things seen this last weekend.
By the time Republicans decide it's in their interest to HELP the American people, instead of abrogating their responsibilities for cheap shots and lies, the benefits of HCR will be known to all. Sure, the bill isn't perfect, there is a lot wrong with it, but SS and Medicare went through the same process, and look how they are viewed-not by those who want to repeal those, but the millions of Americans who LIVE by those means.
You can argue the failures of both systems, but that is not what we are talking about, here. Another falsehood is how many Americans are behind the GOP on this. The last election basically spoke to what the truth is. The GOP, by being obstructionist, will not have anything to run on, except what John McCain seems to think will work. The American people have seen more than a year of nothing coming from the right. They paid for that. Do you honestly think that sits well?
Yes, the anger does need to stop. The question is, will it? When you have leaders like Eric Cantor trying to shift blame, instead of accepting blame, Sarah Palin using incendiary language and riflescope crosshairs (I know all about it's meaning-I was an Army Sniper for a short time, AND a long range recreational shooter for years, 1,000 yards+) and Andrew Breitbart essentially giving tacit permission to his “followers” to continue, I honestly believe someone is going to be killed. No one is stepping up, except the Dems, and they won't be taken seriously by conservatives. Or the Tea baggers.
One last observation….By using just “O” to describe our President, you are showing a form of disrespect, as well. I have never used anything but their full last names when writing or speaking of them, even Bush. He was our President, as Obama is now. That title commands respect, even if you don't like them, or their policies. I even did security duty on Air Force One when Reagan was President, when he went to his Santa Barbara ranch, and I always referred to him as President Reagan. Just an observation.

If you have kids under 26, they can, too!
Finally loose from the tyranny and immoral practices of the HII. They'll have to play fair, from now on! I think it's great! Happy and healthy days to you!
Comment posted March 28, 2010 @ 3:08 am
Interstate competition is no competition. The HII are comprised of only a few (2 or 3) monolithic companies. By crossing state lines, the profit goes to the same thing, an “I pat your back, you pat mine” kind of thing. The mandate had a fine attached if there was no compliance, it's gone. Besides that, if you have a doctor, you can keep him. Sure, it smacks of Government “control” to some, but why aren't these same people complaining about auto insurance? Driving is a privilege, not a right, which health is….a moral right.
Medicare, I'll have to study up on that one, but the fraud, waste and abuse is addressed. That certainly can't be seen as weakening it.
The law will not stand as is for long. Improvements will be made, as they were to both SS and Medicare, through the years. At least Americans won't die for profit, as it was before the law.

Defending his “right” to encourage or be a domestic terrorist?
There are limits to free speech. Like yelling “bomb” on an airline or in an airport, yelling “fire” in a crowded theater, and in this case, encouraging an American to kill another American.
Sosa has been indoctrinated with the same seditionist crap spouted by Glenn Beck and his ilk. All on a chalkboard, like little mentally-challenged children. Now he is telling his children to commit murder.
Yes, keep defending criminal behavior. Sosa may become exactly what everyone fears. Don't encourage it!

Sarah Palin is “attacked” read that as ridiculed, because she is a flipping idiot. And I happen to know that first hand. She was an idiot when she tried to do sports reporting, when she first became mayor of the community I used to live in and in everything she has done since. She is also a liar. I guess the rights description of of being a Christian is you have to be able to lie with a straight face because that's what she has done ever since she first stepped into view. She is a liar. She is an idiot. She is dangerous to the United States of America.

Since their inception the Teaparty crowd (not a movement since they do have the numbers or clout) have been “haters not debaters”. In my opinion this is what the small portions of the republican party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” have brought you. They are good at “Follow the Leader” of their dullard leaders, they listen to Beck, Hedgecock, Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush and Savage and the rest of the Blowhards. Are you surprise at what they do when you know what they think? The world is complicated and most republicans (Hamiliton, Lincoln, Roosevelt) believe that we should use government a little to increase social mobility, now its about dancing around the claim of government is the problem. The sainted Reagan passed the biggest tax increase in American history and as a result federal employment increased, but facts are lost when mired in mysticism and superstition. Although some republicans are trying to distant themselves from this fringe most of them are just going along and fanning the flames. Lets face it the Republicans had 8 years to deal with health care, immigration and financial oversight and governance and they failed. They could not even win one of the two wars they started, the body bags are still coming in. The Republicans wanted to give Obama his Waterloo defeat over healthcare but instead they gave themselves their own Waterloo defeat by not participating in the debate of ideas and by becoming the party of obstructionist. But they now claim they have changed, come on, what sucker is going to believe that?

I suppose I was being a little too literary, but I find it hilarious how “our” people deserve support when attacked, but “those” people deserve to be attacked when supported.

Well, It's just that there is altogether too much violent rhetoric being thrown around these days. It's all coming home to roost, so to speak, and I just don't want to see any American being killed by another American for something that ignorant people say, knowing the enmity it engenders, that's all.
I'm not so concerned about Sosa as I am about Palin, Limbaugh and dangerous lunatics like Beck.
