Dick Armey Backs Lawsuits Against Health Care Reform
Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 4:28 pm
File this in the “unsurprising news” category, but today the president of FreedomWorks — who’s still part of a lawsuit against Medicare — backed the effort to repeal health care reform in the courts in an interview with blogger Ed Morrissey. Armey endorsed the lawsuit filed at noon by 13 state attorneys general, who argued that the mandate to buy coverage is unconstitutional.
“In terms of its standing in the courts,” Armey told Morrissey, “this is the first, best place to make the challenge.”
At the same time, Armey expressed some worry that the “living document malarkey” bought into by liberal judges could thwart conservatives.
“As much as we hope and pray that the courts will do their duty here,” said Armey, “there’s a great possibility that they won’t.” The best chance for repeal might be “once we have a chance to replace him with a Republican president coupled with a Republican Congress.”

“A Republican President coupled with a Republican Congress?” Good luck with that one. By the time it happens (which won't be for a long while) the reforms will be looked at like Social Security and Medicare. No one will dare touch it for fear of negative political backlash.
Armey is part of the reason things are the way they are now for the GOP. He just doesn't get it.

So Armey believes that Americans are dumb enough to turn over the country to them after Bush and company ruined it? Dream on, Dick. We do not want a bunch of people running around with assault rifles who spit on duly elected black legislators, who have been convinced by YOU that Obama is a communist/socialist/noncitizen in control ever again. America is going to be just fine, and this bill is going to help people. Sorry that Republicans, the great Bible believers, cannot stomach the idea of health care for all, but tough crap. I don't like the war economy either, but had to put up with Bush's brainwashing, lying, and spying for 8 years. No More.
