Speaking of these guys sticking together-- Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher's DC office is Ted Olsen's firm. He was lead counsel in Bush v. Gore and became Bush's Solicitor General after the Supreme Court handed Bush the Presidency. And Eugene Scalia is a partner at the DC office of GD&C. Scalia's father is Antonin Scalia, who under the rules of the Supreme Court should have recused himself from Bush v. Gore since his son works at the law firm representing Bush.

Note that Miguel Estrada played a role in an earlier Federalist Society scheme to keep supposedly liberal clerks out of the Supreme Court, not unlike the one that unfolded at the DOJ recently.

http://www.nationalreview.com/york/york092702.asp
