Markos Moulitsas and Research 2000 have attempted to take it, and the results are up now. Among them:
- Only 24 percent of Republicans say that ACORN definitely did not “steal the 2008 election.” Twenty-one percent say the community group did; 55 percent are unsure.
- Thirty-one percent of Republicans say President Obama is “a racist who hates white people.” Thirty-six percent disagree; the rest aren’t sure.
- Twenty-three percent of Republicans want their states to secede from the union. In the South, it’s 33 percent.
- Only eight percent of Republicans say that “openly gay men and women [should] be allowed to teach in public schools.”
In every case, the more anti-Obama, conservative results come from Republicans in the South.

There's something to be gleaned here about who presently self-identifies as a 'Republican.' The Demographics at the bottom of the survey indicate that 37% of respondents were over the age of 60. That's a massive overrepresentation, compared to the general population.
By contrast, only 9% were under 29, and only 30% were 40 or younger.

It's no wonder these people are confused: last night I watched some footage of Beck, red-faced & practically foaming at the mouth, screaming—no, I MEAN screaming— that “this administration is leading Americans to slaughter!!!!” The video footage was followed by an audio byte from Beck's radio show in which he categorically denies EVER using the word 'slaughter' on his Fox show.
Self-described 'republicans' are living in a world ever-more widely divorced from reality; anything goes but the truth.

Get ready, folks…Here comes “Doublespeak”, right out of Eric Blair's wildest fantasies, sprinkled with “Goebbel's Axiom”. We'll be seeing more, because the brainwashing hasn't been completed yet.
If Republicans are stupid enough to swallow every “edited for content” statement fed to them, without thinking for themselves, they are the lost ones.
Of course, right-wing nonsense merchants like Fox noise and Drugster Rush want them that way….easier to program. It's easy to sow hate and fear, history has shown that to be accurate. Try to correct nearly a decade of bad policy….THAT'S hard.
