Fox News Poll: Obama Would Beat GOP, ‘Tea Party’ Rivals by Landslide Margins in 2012

By
Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 5:58 pm

Buried inside the new Fox News poll are some trial heats for the 2012 presidential election that look awfully good for President Barack Obama. Three candidates are tested against Obama: Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich. Obama smashes them all. He leads Romney by a 47-35 margin, Palin by a 55-31 margin, and Gingrich by 53-29 margin. Each margin includes a healthy lead among independent voters.

The most interesting question:

Picture 74

The more interesting question might be on a three-way race between Obama, one of the unpopular Republicans (i.e., any Republican) and an independent.

It's waaaay too early to predict anything at this point, but if Obama doesn't stop speechifying, and start acting in this country's best interest, that poll could change in a heartbeat.

You got that right! Coakley took the people of her state for granted, for sure. She's also on the “payroll” of big pharma, so even if she WERE elected, she would have been a non-starter. We all know Brown's position, so it was a toss up.

I was wrong about the election being a referendum on the MA. Dem. party, it was a referendum on Obama's performance, alright.

LOL, so generic Teabagger (i.e. Scott Brown) gets 23%. That's about half what Mondale got. LOL.

The bottom line is, if I may quote Nixon, that you can't beat somebody with nobody. And from where I'm sitting, Brown, Palin, Newt and Mitt are a whole lot of nobody. GOPic FAIL.

I gladly thank our service men and women for all their sacrifice and know full well that this is obama's war (and bush's) and not the fault of our brave military.

My eyes have been opened this past election.

As a progressive I will gladly vote Tea Party or even Republican if it means the sexist, racist, lying obots are thrown out on their collective *sses.

Have a lovely day.

Ron Paul, aka not a generic teabagger, would destroy Obama. The country is actually ready for true change. This is why the establishment will do everything to keep in boxed in… they don't want change and they know Obama was never going to bring it. At the rate Obama is going, a circus monkey could beat him. The only numbers worse than this Faux News Poll, are all the numbers on Obama's approval ratings… or should I say approval droppings.

If you believe Obama is sexist, you are truly what Soul/Straw says you are. The last person to be called sexist is Obama. He has always been surrounded by strong women, married a strong woman and is raising daughters to be strong women. There is no way that label applies to him. He knows and appreciates women's strengths and abilities. Look at his appointments. He has appointed a whole lot of women to very high posts. You lose this argument.

When he stepped down from the presidential race, it was a big disappointment, because he at least made it look like he was getting out of the way for a “winner”. That was made to look honorable. But I must say, it was a copout of the biggest proportions. I felt it was the biggest mistake. Of all the candidates, though not perfect (crap, who is!), he was the best of three…next to a dictatorial, Muslim partially black man with no country of origin backed by tyrants of other countries who want to see us fall, and, on th e other hand, a wimped-out weakling who had no intention whatsoever to fight for his place as this country's leader.
It was the most digusting election I have ever had the displeasure to vote on.
Romney was a star in my eyes, being the only sane mind in the ring!
And…Beck is not God to me . I respect him a great deal, but his word is not absolute in my eyes. I can think for myself, thankyou.
And one more thing, in some desperate cases, of which there are plenty, abortion is absolutely alright to save the life of another human being …the woman. Her life is worth a lot. I have righ-leaning tendencies, but do not fit into a mold.

Obama is Baptist, “Baptists believe that the act of baptism is a symbolic display of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.[citation needed] When a person who has already been saved and confessed Christ submits to scriptural baptism, he or she is publicly identifying with Christ in His death to old self, burial of past sinful thought and action, and resurrection in newness of life, to walk with Christ the remainder of their day.” So sorry, in your brainwashed mind Baptist are Muslim.

Mormons did the first September 11th

“Haha sorry I recently left Mormonsim after 44 years of brainwashing and the comments here by Mormons is proof of how conditioned and brainwashed they are. Perhaps MMM will do something to help others leave. Cracks me up Mormons arguing fact. They don't know anything about the true events concerning anything but that is because they are taught lies and “told not to look further”. Its sad but be glad numbers are declining so maybe someday the church will go away or just run its businesses”

Bush and Obama’s war? It must have taken days for that spin. Romney is a hawk when it comes to ‘war’ Romney even feels the food and treatment at Guantanamo Bay was/is great, and enhanced torture techniques? Romney is ‘bring it on!” Especially, since fellow brother in the Mormon Church Mitchell and Jessen are the framers of the techniques, and was felt by people within the CIA, that Mitchell and Jessen would one day become the ‘poster’ children for the FBI Most Wanted List for what they had implemented. The brothers under the covenant to Romney, were out of control and not much many could do to stop them, because of the backing. Then other fellow brothers under the covenant to Romney, Deland and McCotter from Utah State Prison, where over the reported accounts of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse, including torture, rape, sodomy, and homicide of prisoners held in the Abu Ghraib … they high-tailed it just before the scandal hit the press.

You are no progressive. Use of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse, including torture, rape – sounds like classic techniques to silent by those under the covenant –
