Rep. Nathan Deal Asked About Birtherism in Gubernatorial Debate

By
Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 4:30 pm

Quite a catch by Jason Pye–Rep. Nathan Deal (R-Ga.), who has waged a fairly under-the-radar campaign to demand President Obama’s birth certificate, was asked about it at a gubernatorial forum. Incredibly, Deal doubled down.

I don’t have any issues with his birth certificate, and I really don’t think it’s really something that is an issue in the governor’s race. None of these folks serve in Congress. None of them get asked the questions that I get asked by constituents, “tell me what the status of the president’s birth certificate is.” I have simply asked the president, “tell me where I can refer these constituent inquiries to, to a source that you think is credible so that we can answer their questions.” I think that is a reasonable proposition and certainly something that I think the president should respond to. Although at this point, he has not.

Audio here.

Jason Pye says that FactCheck has “thoroughly debunked” this issue. What Pye is too dumb to know is that FC:

* has misled about other issues…
* lied to their readers about what state officials said for nine months…
* removed metadata and recompressed the photos they uploaded without telling anyone that they'd changed the photos…
* falsely pretends that the only motivation BHO's gparents could have had would be in case he was elected president when were are other, much more mundane motivitations…
* and more.

Now, because people like Jason Pye aren't that bright, I'll point out that that doesn't mean that BHO was born on Mars. That just means the FC isn't a credible source, and Pye is revealing that he can't figure that out.

For the actual facts of this matter, see my extensive coverage. I've repeatedly challenged others to find anything false, misleading, or illogical in any of my coverage and no one's been able to do it.

Don't be silly. The tripe on your site has been repeatedly debunked; there's barely a true word in it.

You've had well over a year to progress from rumor and innuendo to solid factual evidence. You've got none, and everyone knows it.

Also, Weigel's buddy Pye deleted the comment I left on his site; the comment below is a slightly modified version of what he deleted. I'll be posting on him later so those searching for his name can find what he doesn't want them to see.

Oh, I agree. The cut and paste thing, as well as the insistent “we know it all, but the facts are wrong” angles are amusing.

It's been going on for a year, and it's ALL been debunked, but they're still heerrre, so some here, as well as myself, leave it to humor.

Personally, I think Dave Weigel does this on purpose. I checked other birfer blogs here, and they elicit some of the largest response numbers of all the other blogs. It's all fun and games from here, since reason and truth seem to be birfer handicaps (I know, shouldn't make fun of the mentally deficient), but it's soooo entertaining!

Copying and pasting what I wrote isn't a counter-argument; the sockpuppets on this page are dumb enough that they don't know what an argument is.

Let's take the first one: here's Brooks Jackson of Fact Check misleading about the House healthcare bill. If you want to provide a counter-argument, you can't just say I'm wrong, you have to show how you think I'm wrong. So, here's your chance: show us how he's right or I'm wrong, specifically responding to my comments. (Hint: they won't be able to do that).

24AheadDotCom
Comment posted January 21, 2010 @ 10:55 pm

Give me a specific citation of something I've written that's been debunked. You have to provide a link and an excerpt of what you think I got wrong, and you have to show how you think I'm wrong.

(Hint: it's not going to happen.)

Once again: if you think I've gotten something wrong, give us specific citations and a counter-argument. The fact that no sockpuppet has ever been able to do that shows they're just trying to make noise.

I'm not going to bother restating the same thing for the other noisemaker(s) below.

Noisemakers? You clowns are the noisemakers. You consistently try to refute truth and reason, with factual evidence staring you in the face, so what's left? HUMOR, that's what.

If you toilers just wasted your time in seclusion, where you should be, we would have nothing to laugh at. That you consistently show ignorance to that makes you easy targets.

You can't have discussions about something no one else believes, but it's even worse….you don't want to believe you could be WRONG.
Even saint Orly is giving it a pass, what with all her marital problems, she can't be bothered with augering in with her forgeries anymore. THAT should have been your first clue that the wagon you hitched your star to had three square wheels….Didn't let it stop you though, did it?

Oh, and all the multiple monikers? What's with that? You want veracity with the facts, start there, first. Maybe you can “convince” your mentally deficient cohorts to cease the schizophrenic act because it takes a long time to type them all out just to address one of you wack jobs.

But I know this won't sway you….Keep going, I haven't had a good chuckle today, yet.

She's pretty unhinged, and just accused me of being an abusive male with violent tendencies.

Even better: I googled her name and found the following gem of a quote from what appears to be her hometown paper in Craig, Colorado:

“I also feel frustration with our government. I do not understand a government that is unwilling to enforce its own laws. I also do not understand a government that is unwilling to repeal our 14th Amendment when, in my view, it has been applied for decades in a manner never intended by the drafters in the mid-19th Century.”

That's right. She just advocated *repealing the 14th Amendment*. I never dreamed I'd see such nonsense.

The demand for documentation of Barack Obama's eligibility to occupy the Oval Office is surging, with lawmakers in several states now working on legislation that could be used to require future presidential candidates to reveal precisely how they are qualified under the U.S. Constitution's demand for a “natural born citizen.” I have repeatedly contacted my U.S. Senators & Congressman about this illegal-alien and they seem to be content with “go along, get along” and don't want to make waves. Hence it is going to be up to the individual states to codify a Constitutional definition of “natural born citizen”, require original signatures on nomination paper certifications(not the copied signatures Pelosi provided) AND a copy of the candidate's original Birth Certificate before the name can be placed on the state's presidential election ballot. Obama mentions his Birth Certificate on page 26 of “Dreams of My Father” so he could just provide a copy of that one. Afterall it is probably the “source document” a Hawaiian official claims is on file in Honolulu. OR it could be the Kenyan BC. Also we are still not sure which citizenship Obama attended college as. If we can keep Obama off the ballot in just two states he won't have the audacity to run for re-election. So please write your state level senators to sponsor and support this legislation.

How can the truth be debunked?

What did the founding fathers mean in the Constitution when they required presidents to be natural born citizens? (Article 2, Section 1, Paragraph 5).

The founding fathers meant that presidents must be born of citizens of the U.S. and born on U.S. soil.

Obama's father was a citizen of Kenya, a colony of Britain, who did not want to be a citizen of the U.S., did not try to be a citizen of the U.S., and did not intend to be a citizen of the U.S.

Obama is not a natural born citizen, and is therefore not qualified to be our president. Period.

As far as where Obama was born… were you there? If not, you don't KNOW any more than I do. The only person alive who claims to have been at Obama's birth is his Kenyan grandmother, and she said he was born in Kenya. Are you calling Obama's grandmother a liar?

Obama has one digital image of a birth record; Birthers have two pieces of real paper that say he was born in Kenya. All have been called forgeries, but since Obama had all his records sealed, and has fought every effort (with OUR tax dollars and OUR lawyers) to release the original documents, it's impossible to know the truth. Except we do know that Obama obviously doesn't want the truth known.

And, just for the record, the Constitution is ALWAYS relevant.

Mia, you're right. The Constitution is always relevant.

So where in the Constitution does it say that a Natural Born Citizen must have two citizen parents? Hint: A recent court decision (Ankeny v. Governor) says you're wrong.

And no, “his Kenyan grandmother” says nothing of the kind. Listen to the whole recording, instead of the deceptively edited version. Google it, it's easy enough to find.

Finally, not only are the so-called Kenyan BCs forgeries, but official U.S. documents are given priority over foreign ones. If you think his COLB can't be relied upon, make your case in court — maybe you'll do better than the 60+ cases that have been brought and dismissed.

There was once a band of crash test dummies who bought a house, with a big yard. Nice house, nice yard. Nice street, nice neighbors.
Then, something happened. For reasons known only to them, They began to poke holes in the sod. A little bit at first, with hand spades and weeders, looking for something. (the Quest)
The neighbors were curious, and asked what was up. They were told there was evidence of real treasure in their yard, so the CTD's kept digging. Pretty soon they started using a backhoe. (lawsiuts) In no time flat, the yard was tore up, front, back and sides.
In the meantime, however, they didn't pay the mortgage. Pretty soon, a foreclosure notice (BC) appeared on their front door. The CTD's kept digging. Then they struck the water line. (courts)Then the sewer line. (forgeries) The neighbors got concerned, and told them to stop digging, because the sewer was stinking up the neighborhood. They also told them of the foreclosure notice. The neighbors were told to F**k off and die, that they knew what they were doing.
So, the neighbors began to ridicule the CTD's, in an attempt to placate the destruction. Meanwhile, the foreclosure notice languished on the front door.

Now, the CTD's are squatters, with no water, toilets and because they also didn't pay their power bill, no power, (veracity of claims) either.
What they never realized, was that the foreclosure notice was REALLY their salvation.

This will be a repeat (the first I've ever done, unlike the birfers) for those who may not catch it where it presently is….

There once was a Moldavian shrew,

Who went to court a time or three,
got thrown out for a shrieking scree…
And told not to return, to boot.

Had a tryst with an office mate,
now he's in love,”It's time to skate!”
But she rebuffed his advances,
said “H**L NO!” to office romances,
in the pokey now, he has to wait.

What of the followers? I don't know,
seriously, they have nothing to show.
Like a bad penny they come,
with nothing to argue (they're too dumb),
like deer in the headlights (or maybe a doe).

Where does it lead? Who's to say,
they'll never be in a legitimate way.
They can whine and moan all they want,
empty halls is all they'll haunt,
Obama as President is here to stay.

A year has passed, we're getting old,
birfers are toast, or so I'm told,
they'll never take seriously, “take a hike!”
Repeated posts is what they like,
all I can say…..”Don't Taitz me, bro!”

SQUAWK! You are obviously illiterate since the Constitution says nothing of the kind.

Oh, and here's the relevant part of the grandmother's interview transcript, you lying idiot:

TRANSLATOR OGOMBE (sounding exasperated): No, no! The, the
woman was not present. She was uh not, a what–you see, she was here in
Kenya, and Obama was born in America. That is, that’s obvious.

MCRAE: Oh, OK, fine. I mean, I–I just, I misunderstood what she was saying. I thought you said she was present when he was born.

WOMAN'S VOICE (background): It was in Hawaii.

TRANSLATOR OGOMBE: –was in America there, why are they for, they go, they go, they go to some place, then the present isn't here sir, he was born there in America.

“Are you calling Obama's grandmother a liar?”

No, I'm calling you a lying idiot for good reason.

Wow. It must suck to be a lying, paranoid birfer piece of crap.

“Obama had all his records sealed, and has fought every effort (with OUR tax dollars and OUR lawyers) to release the original documents”

A common birfer lie. Prove it or STFU.

“Obama is not a natural born citizen, and is therefore not qualified to be our president. Period.”

Yesterday…”We all had to bring our birth certificates to show we were who we said we were, and we were the age we said we were, to play football in youth sports,” said Hayworth, who is currently challenging John McCain (R-AZ) in Arizona's Senate primary. “Shouldn't we know exactly that anyone who wants to run for public office is a natural born citizen of the United States, and is who they say they are?”
Later in the segment, which aired Tuesday night on MSNBC's Hardball, Hayworth said the responsibility for producing evidence should fall directly on Obama.
“I'm just saying the president should come forward with the information, that's all.
