In Afghanistan, seven minutes after tweeting about a meeting with Gen. Stanley McChrystal, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) decided to tweet this:

Picture 53

Here’s a press release about the poll — not usually the sort of things politicians brag about.

So now we know: McCain — not Palin — is the brain trust of these self-righteous belligerent wackos.

Wow, that's great. He should run for U.S. President and… oh wait, that didn't work out too well the less couple of times he tried.

This polls shows less about how influential Sen. McCain is and more about uninfluential Republicans are in national politics if Sen. McCain is #1.

McCain lost all creditability when he chose Palin as his running mate. The man didn't do his job on vetting no matter how much he says he did. After listening to her for 10 minutes you could tell she didn't have the brains or the creditability to be VP. I will always remember McCain for that, and nothing else. He's another politician only concerned with himself, his ego was his downfall. I will remember him as a loser.

He, and his ego, must be so proud of him right now.

Who did they poll, network talk show bookers?
All that old bugger does is go on teevee and babble his Grampa Simpson stories for idiots like David Gregory, Mathews, Stephanopotamus, Sub-Hume-an, and their vacuous, faturous ilk.
He is the military industrial financial complex messiah.

I don't think John McCain is a good airplane pilot. Five wrecked planes is not good.
