The numbers of conservatives are growing, and even an escalating number of liberals are questioning their choices in power-grabbing, spendaholic elected representatives. POTUS is struggling, despite having a fawning fringe media that still closes its eyes to his blunders, missteps, and wafflings, a House majority, and a Senate majority. More Americans are waking up and seeing past the vapid, Hallmark-card-like “hopenchange” mantra. Socialism is a historic killer of societies and free market principles, and finally, those who blindly, childishly voted for Barack Obama, with little information about his background and ignoring his fabrications and socialist agenda, are realizing the nightmare they've voted into the captain's chair.

Better late than not at all… how's that “hopenchange” workin' out for you all?

look at the crazy

I have had to counter about half of the social education my four school age grand kids get from their schools. Schools that teach from textbooks that are not only incomplete, biased but in some cases just outright wrong.

For almost fifty years the liberals, progressives if you will and the closet Commies and Marxists have been infiltrating and perverting the American Educational System and in turn, churning out new young progressives that influence and pervert their kids and send them to the same institutions of “higher learning”. Even worse is that this progressive decay has creeped down into our primary and secondary educational systems, giving them a head start on the brainwashing of our children.

You think the divide in America is growing? Well so do I and millions of other Americans in flyover country do too.

This time it really is not just about politics.

SOME of us realize that it is about taking control of the United States of America and turning it into a Socialist/Marxist cesspool just like the other failed states in this world. Which of course will cause our Military to shrink and it’s ability to defend to diminish. The economy/energy/education will be fully in the hands of the state, which is the fastest way to the complete destruction of America and her beliefs.

We conservatives and others haven’t liked the choices our representatives have been making for about the last fifty years. But being the silent ones we just kept working and hoping that our government would somehow see the light and the errors in their ways. And being gullible we kept voting for those that lied and said they were for conservative ways and measures and a smaller government.
While of course the progressives and closet communists kept eating out bigger and bigger pieces of the federal and state governments.

So there you have it…Our continuing bad judgment and mistakes. We have to bear much if not all of the blame. Especially for electing Obama.

Also remember this, Obama and his backers not only understand the stealthy incremental nature of legislation, but he also has been taught the Chicago way of doing business in politics, and he has backers and handlers that understand it even more. How do you think he got where he is?

The dirty tricks department not only extends to false registrations and well hidden vote fraud, but to Chicago dirty tricks in the Senate and the House, and in the back rooms of Lobbyists, Progressive Support Groups such as ACORN and of course-Unions.

They don’t even bother to try and hide it anymore and Obama has put in place Czars to do their bidding and cut Congress almost completely out of the legislative loop.

Then we have the Supreme Court which is just now getting warmed up to really make some serious changes in the Law.

When enough Americans finally understand what our Founders feared would happen-has indeed happened slowly and steadily over the last fifty or so years, Obama, Reid, Pelosi and RINOS like them should never be reelected. Or you would think so, wouldn’t you? But if we go by our past record, it appears that Americans can’t see past the lies told by those running for office.

Maybe that will change, I certainly pray it does because it has to.

In the LAST ten or so years, it has taken an out of control federal government spending our money by the ton to FINALLY get our attention. While it should have happened over these last fifty or so years, it just didn’t because it was a slow and steady drain of our liberty and stealthy building of government theft and accumulation of powers. And of course payments over and under the table to almost everybody, including the millions of blacks, other minorities and poor whites that have now become a welfare state of their own with no chance of ridding themselves of it and showing that they don't want to by voting democrat.

Even now today, there are still millions of Americans that don’t know or care a twit about politics but just vote the party line or even worse…don’t vote at all. The democrats almost have a lock on minority and black voters and will close that lock with legislation in the next few months on another 15-20 million illegals.

This time in our history, this enemy within, are almost succeeding.

The only thing in their way is you and the rest of loyal Americans, of all parties and affiliations, that see and are appalled at what is happening to our Republic. Because it appears our representatives and especially our President will not uphold their oaths.

Power indeed does corrupt, but it takes a certain deviant breed of people that want to change America into something that our Founders never wanted, fought against and warned us about. They are our enemies within.

Our Founder’s not only warned us against all this, but wrote rules in our Bill of Rights (and it’s Preamble), our Constitution. And inscribed in other important papers that were meant to warn, prepare and enable us to protect the Republic for which they stood, died for and wanted for all of their future generations of Americans.

It has only been in the last few months or so, that millions of American’s attention has not only been raised, but also their long held anger has been allowed to vent itself against our so called “representatives”, the ones that are supposed to be working for us, but seem to just be working for themselves and others.

I pray in the next few years or so there will be many more millions of Americans that will voice their opinion loud and clear and vote accordingly. If they don’t or are stopped by voter fraud and other Chicago tricks and tactics, then the only alternative is not to be spoken of until it will be almost too late.

You say you voted against Palin for VP, meaning you thought Crazy Joe Biden for VP was an excellent choice (even Democrats regret that one). Place them side by side and Palin comes across as a genius. If I had voted for Biden, I'd be embarrassed at the wacky, illogical nonsense Crazy Joe spews any time the media spotlight is on him. Every time he's in front of a mic, he goes off into the deep end, making up stuff or divulging confidential information, prompting Rahm Emanuel to send him off to Siberia (seriously) or somewhere else away from reporters for a few weeks. The man is a serious nutcase with diarrhea of the mouth and has embarrassed Team Obama many, many times. Noticed how he isn't permitted to conduct press conferences anymore?

So, you say you voted for an inexperienced, dictator-hugging, America-bashing, anti-free market, Chicago-style socialist community organizer with a pleasant smile who has a dismal Senate track record of voting “present” and an aging man with a checkered past who keeps stepping in it with his showboat blunders and gaffes because you supposedly didn't like the GOP VP candidate. Hilarious bunk. You never intended to vote for Palin because you're a liberal. Most liberals don't bother to arm themselves with facts or take time to research because they're too busy “feeling” instead of thinking. Palin vs. Biden – no contest, buckeroo. Palin and her children have been maligned and attacked in the biased liberal press FAR more than Biden and his daughter (the 27-year-old one who was arrested twice for drug possession). And yet, despite the media's zeal to destroy her, Palin's popularity in national polls is now higher than Obama's, higher than Congress's… which, looking at the disastrous path of socialism Obama has been pushing us along, is understandable. Obama has screwed up our economy, our national defense, our adherence to the Constitution, our image abroad more in the past 11 months than Bush did in 8 years. Elect an elitist empty suit, what do you expect?

Well said. With the latest revelation of how DHS, TSA, and Pres. Obama have mishandled and tried to minimalize the Islamic bomb attack on Flight 253 on Christmas Day, alot of inconsistent responses are coming out of our Democrat leaders, alot of back-pedaling and revising what they said and did. One day, they say the security system “worked,” the next day they admit it failed miserably. More alarming information about the terrorist that the Obama administration had but didn't act upon is showing just how badly Obama handled this, especially since it was revealed yesterday that he knew three days in advance about potential terrorist attacks escalating toward Christmas. No, I don't point blame at him for not realizing this particular al Qaeda terrorist was going to try to blow up a plane, but NOTHING was done proactively by Obama nor DHS to protect Americans. Thankfully, the detonator malfunctioned, otherwise, we would have had nearly 300 dead, innocent Americans.

Power-grabbing to take away most of our inherent freedoms provided for us in our Constitution is but one of the many disturbing actions our Democrat leaders in DC are attempting. But you're right, Papa Ray – more Americans are waking up and are stunned by the hubris, ineptitude, and socialist tendencies of this administration. The highest unemployment in three decades (which was when another Democrat president, Jimmy Carter, screwed up our economy); a government-run health plan that used taxpayer-funded bribes to “buy” votes. Disgraceful.

Fortunately, the “sleeping giant” is awakening, and from what I've been reading, many young liberals are still pretty much uninformed, but conservatives, moderates, and older liberals have been keeping a close eye, and millions are chomping at the bit for the first round of voting in November 2010. Thousands of people, liberal grandmas included, who have never been active politically in their lives nor attended a protest are getting involved more than ever before. And current polls indicate that Democrat incumbents will fare quite badly when election time rolls around – it's still too early to tell if this will be the temperament in the country come next November. But I'm banking on the patriot spirit that makes our nation so vibrant and so envied around the globe.

Papa Ray, I believe that most Americans love this country, love the freedoms it offers, love the shining jewel it is. No, it's not perfect, but it's the closest thing to perfection anywhere in the world. We can make it better without destroying its foundation, as the Democrats in Congress and the Oval Office are attempting. I firmly believe that many Americans will stand up to fight for what America was intended to be, a country run by the PEOPLE, not the government, as was specifically outlined by our wise founding fathers. Hold on to that. Don't lose hope. And don't stop speaking out against socialism… because silence is acceptance.

I don't know what polls you think you're reading, but Palin's negatives far outweigh her positives in surveys I've seen. She's never going to be President because she's too happy taking your money.

I probably would have voted for McCain until he picked Palin. The Straight Talk Express derailed itself with the stupidest of VP picks ever and they consequently lost due to her being on the ticket.

Who do you think made America great starting in the forties? The middle class and the unions that gave them power.

What economic miracle do you think just caused the near collapse of the financial system and the spending of HUGE amounts of money to save it? Socialism? no…unregulated CAPITALISM.
