An Update on That Goldfarbgate Hearing
Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 3:56 pm
I got a chance to ask Rebecca Fisher, communications director for Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.), which witnesses might be called if he and 19 other Republicans got their desired hearing on the thinly sourced (and widely denied) rumor that the Obama administration was threatening to close Offutt Air Force Base if Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) didn’t cave on health care.
“At this point we are calling for the hearing,” said Fisher. “It would be up to Sens. McCain and Levin who the witnesses would be if they decided to hold a hearing.”
So there you go.
