The Day the Milblogs Stood Still
Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 10:45 am
Don’t expect much in the way of military blogging today. In solidarity with C.J. Grisham, an Army noncommissioned officer and Iraq veteran whose widely read blog A Soldier’s Perspective is attracting pressure from the Army, lots of milblogs are going dark. That includes big ones like Blackfive and CDR Salamander. So if you want to razz them like an Internet gangster, you get a free shot; but I wouldn’t advise it.
Interestingly, Galrahn, one of Salamander’s cobloggers at the U.S. Naval Institute’s great great blog, tweeted some discomfort with the stance.
