Maybe you missed this, but Palin is not the elected President, or even Vice President, of the US. But I guess she's enough of a threat that you put her and Obama on the same playing field.

No one questions whether Sarah Palin is Trig's mother. They question whether or not she is his biological mother. By the way, how do you know for a fact she is his biological mother?

The Only people I have ever heard say something about Palin not being Trig's mother is Palin herself, or someone on Fox news – sometimes I think they get all these stories going so poor poor Sarah Palin, who the media picks on, can be her new reality. I have been an American for 51 years, Republican for 32 years, so you don't have to yell at me about being a liberal, I am really sick of that. What is interesting is that birthers are the rightwing version of 9/11 truthers. People who can recognize the absurdity of the truther’s claims, nevertheless whole heartedly embrace birtherism, and vice versa. Some of the best birther debunkers are hard core truthers.

For what it's worth, I actually believe Ms. Palin. When her water broke in Texas while carrying Trig, instead of going to a local hospital, she got on an eight hour flight and then drove a few hours from Anchorage while in labor in order to give birth in her hometown hospital. I mean, sure, when you're in labor with a special needs child the most responsible thing to do is to go as long as possible before heading to a doctor. I believe her.

As for the “I can see Russia” thing, Palin herself opened herself up to this satire by claiming with a straight face that Alaska's geographic proximity to Russia gave her foreign policy experience.

Has Palin produced her birth certificate? Or is such a threshold of identification only demanded from black candidates with funny names.

I know for a fact that it doesn't matter.

Vattel is not American law and never has been. Anyone born on American soil, save for rare exceptions like the children of diplomats, is natural born. Period.

Second, only 20% of the public even *likes* her, let alone would vote for her. The chances of her getting the nomination are all but non-existent, especially given her tendency to quit her job halfway through.

NO it doesn't. Natural Born at the time of the writing of the Constitution simply meant “born in the country” (except for the children of foreign diplomats.” The phrase Natural Born was very seldom used at the time. Natural Born was used all the time, and it always meant “born in the country.”

That is why such prominent conservative Senators who are also lawyers as Orren Hatch and Lindsay Graham say that a Natural Born Citizen is simply one who was born in the USA:

I've always thought that was like requiring the candidate to wear both suspenders and a belt. IF the writers of the Constitution had required the candidate to wear both suspenders and a belt, they would have said so. If the required two citizen parents, they would have said so. They said “Natural Born,” which meant at the time birth in the country.

Obama has shown the official birth certificate of Hawaii, which is all that Hawaii sends out these days. It no longer sends out copies of the original birth certificate (http://www.scribd.com/full/17508463?access_key=…).

Obama was never a citizen of Indonesia, as both the Indonesian government and the US State Department have stated. So Obama never received foreign aid because he was never a foreign student. The US Supreme COurt has had quite a bit to say on the subject since the Constitution was ratified in the late 18th century.

And, there are three classes of US citizen:

Native born — citizenship via birth in the US
Naturalized — citizenship via process

No it doesn't. It was a special resolution for McCain and it said that if you are born on a US military installation (as he was) and to two US parents (as he was), then you are eligible. But since not everyone can be born on a US military installation, that doesn't affect anyone other than McCain, and in fact the resolution has McCain's name on it.

(And the resolution does not even have the force of law, having been passed by only one house.)

Yes, and the Supreme Court has ruled particularly in the Wong Kim Ark case that Natural Born simply means “born in the country.” It did not rule that Wong was a Natural Born Citizen because it was not a presidential case. What it did was rule that Wong was a citizen because he was Natural Born–meaning born in the country.

This is what it says:

“It thus clearly appears that, by the law of England for the last three centuries, beginning before the settlement of this country and continuing to the present day, aliens, while residing in the dominions possessed by the Crown of England, were within the allegiance, the obedience, the faith or loyalty, the protection, the power, the jurisdiction of the English Sovereign, and therefore every child born in England of alien parents was a natural-born subject unless the child of an ambassador or other diplomatic agent of a foreign State or of an alien enemy in hostile occupation of the place where the child was born.

There are two, and only two, categories of American citizen: natural born, who are born on American soil or to American citizens, and naturalized, who have to abjure their allegiance to a foreign power. He cannot produce the original birth certificate because he does not have it. Hawaii only sends out the Certification of Live Birth. That is now the official birth certificate of Hawaii, and sufficient to legally prove birth in the USA, and the facts on it were twice confirmed by the officials in Hawaii (members of a Republican governor's administration.) That is legally and factually sufficient.

Still, the reason that Obama does not show the original birth certificate is because he does not have it because Hawaii will not send it out. Why not ask the question, why doesn't Hawaii change its rules to send out the original?

It applies only to the federal presidential papers of former presidents. It does not apply to Obama at all, and it certainly does not seal state or college records, which are simply private. They were private before the order and private after the order, and the order does not affect them at all.

What the consitituion means by natural born citizen is that the birth should have been natural i.e. vaginal without the use of epidurals, forceps or other artifical means and especially not by C-section. The reason the founding fathers did not want babies born by C-section to become president is that the original name for C-section is Ceaserian Section since the roman emperor Julius Caeser was supposed to have been born in that way due to his mothers inability to deliver normally. The fathers did not want to run the risk of someone born by Ceaserean Section to become President because he would then try to become an emperor and dictator.

America truly is a great nation. For even a mixed-race child like Barack Hussein Obama can become President of our United States, and our judicial system can hold up his election against frivolous lawsuits by racist losers.

John Sidney McCain III was born at the Colon Hospital, located at Avenida Melendez and 2nd Street, Manzanillo Island, City of Colon, Republic of Panama. The time of birth on the birth certificate issued by Panama Railroad Company (which owned the Colon Hospital) was 5:25 PM and the day and date of birth was Saturday, August 29, 1936.

McCain was ineligible to serve as CiC because he failed the test of jus soli.

One has to ask oneself, now, why would a bunch of Democrats “resolve” that McCain was eligible? Why would they help their opponent? Especially a dogmatic socialist like Patrick Leahy.

If you look at the fact of Wong Kim Ark being born in San Francisco, CA, of Chinese parents, that holding is correct.

In U. S. v Wong Kim Ark, the court thoroughly discussed “natural born citizen,” and in doing so, Justice Gray quoted directly from the holding in a prior Supreme Court case, Minor v. Happersett

And oh – the federal paperwork used to check eligibility for work doesn't say a damn thing about “long form vault birth certificates.” It says only birth certificate. But you argue McCain meets the test of jus sanguinis (two American citizen parents), making him a “natural born” citizen. (two American citizen parents)

Then you talk out of the other side of your mouth when you say Obama's birthplace of Hawaii, meeting the test of jus solis, establishes Obama's eligibility.

But Obama doesn't meet the test of jus sanguinis.

You have one test for McCain, and another for Obama. The fact is, neither of them meet BOTH tests — they're both ineligible.

What's good for McCain should be good for Obama — but Obots will always twist any set of facts to defend the usurper.

Such documents, if they existed, would be easy to find and would have been disclosed. There is no such document.

But, if you allege that he did not have a US passport when he traveled from
Hawaii to Indonesia and then back from Indonesia to Hawaii, that seems
extremely unlikely. If he had traveled to the USA from Indonesia on a passport
other than a US passport, he would have needed a US visa on that passport.
Records of an application for a US visa would still be in the files (not
the passport files, but the records of applications for visas), and that
would be at the State Department. That was under the Republicans until
January. If there were anything, they could and would have said something about
it.

Moreover, if Obama did not have a US passport when he traveled to
Indonesia, the fact that he did not have a passport would also be at the State
Department. They have the date at which he applied for his first passport. If
that date were later than the day that he traveled to Indonesia, they would
know that, and would have said something during the election campaign.

At this point, I suspect you may say something along the lines of there was
a break-in to the files at the State Department and somebody who was not
authorized got into Obama's files. However, there is no indication that this
involved, or COULD involve, a change to the records or the elimination of

They will determine the answer to the pressing legal question of what is a “natural born Citizen” of the USA per Article II constitutional standards and did Obama and the U.S. Congress violate the Constitution and statutory laws and my constitutional rights during the 2008 election cycle. And, the Supreme Court will also be asked to refer their legal definition to Congress to determine if Obama meets that legal ruled definition. I say Obama does not meet the founders and framers intent for the Article II eligibility clause.

How do I know this? Simple. Click on the “face” to the right of the name. (You will note that both HRCin2012 and Palin4Prez are “guests”). Then click on the hypertext link for “View More Comments.” Look at the left side of the comments page: You will see that it lists “Names Used” by the same “guest”. What you will see is that one person has been posting (and posing) under multiple guest names, apparently in order to make it appear that there are more of birfers posting here than is actually the case.
