McChrystal Doesn’t Expect to Ask for Even More Troops

What if, Rep. Buck McKeon (R-Calif.) wants to know, if Gen. Stanley McChrystal thinks he’ll need additional troops for Afghanistan after another round of strategy reviews set for December 2011?

His answer: “I believe I’ll have the responsibility to give my best military advice” no matter “which direction” the situation indicates, McChrystal said. “I do not anticipate the requirement to ask for additional forces. But I would always provide my candid, best military advice.”
