I've heard that the storyline of the book/performance incorporates (possibly unintentionally?) autobiographical material which is sort of creepy and unsettling; I guess his father was a baker, and young Glen suffered many childhood traumas as a result of his dad's enforcement of a gluten-free home environment. The poor child was often forced to eat peanut butter straight off of the spoon on countless occasions. No wonder he cannot seem to stop crying…
