Reid Announces Classified Afghanistan Briefing

Word from my ever-alert colleague Mike Lillis: Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) just announced a classified briefing on Afghanistan to be held in the Capitol Visitors’ Center at 4:30. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton indicated this morning in testimony to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that she thought Obama administration officials would be open to holding one for senators, but I am not sure if Clinton herself will be part of this briefing.

Update: I spaced. Obviously Clinton won’t be a part of that briefing; she’s on her way to Brussels for tomorrow’s NATO foreign ministerial conference. Getting more coffee now…
