The only people selling fear are the Senators, Congressmen, and other politicians who want to put these hundreds of sworn enemies of the United States into my underbelly. They aren't detainees, or prisoners, they are dedicated, trained, combat veterans, sworn to kill all of us as soon as they can get their hands on a gun or other weapon. Washingon isn't adding to our domestic tranquility. It is trying to destroy it. Labeling people with reasonable concerns, calling your own constituents names is a sure sign of the weaknesses of the argument for putting these terrorists here. If it were such a good idea, why do you have to mock the people who oppose it? This kind of naive thinking led to the Beirut barracks bombing, the African embassy bombings, the Iranian hostage crisis, the first bombing of the Twin Towers, and ultimately to 911 itself.<br> There is no reason to belittle us because we care more about our wives, our school children, and our fellow citizens of Illinois than you do. <br> Sincerely yours,<br> Jim French I live not far from Thomson, Illinois.
