You seem rather nieve about the nation of Israel and cross-border settlements. As Vince Lombardi said when he began his career at Green Bay “Gentlemen, this is a football”.
During 1948, the jews were know as palestinians = the ensuing war by transjordan and other arab nations attacked the newly formed nation of Israel = the west bank and a portion of Jerusalem was captured and held until the 1967 war. The west bank is a part of Israel = the occupants have no compunction to better themselves, but blame the Israeli's with woes of their condition.
Israel in 1948 was a desert = today is a green oasis = brought about by those who believe in a democracy which allows each person to rise by hard work = those arabs who pursue hard work have benefited by their endeavors.
