Mirena IUD device prevents you from Becoming pregnant because it blocks the uterus, women are willing to stick a Tampon into the vagina and changing it few times a day, of course a Tampon is a plug of cotton that absorbs the bleeding of your period and the Mirena IUD is a device that is inserted by a doctor in the Uterus to prevent getting pregnant and is good for 11 or 12 years.

Ladies, birth control methods sometimes fail so why not replace them with Mirena IUD device, a doctor inserts a T-shape device in the uterus to prevent a woman from becoming pregnant and she won't have to face abortion. Abortion can result in 1.cut/torn cervix 2.blood clots in uterus 3.pelvic infection 4.incomplete abortion 5.death 6. complications from anesthesia 7. repeated abortion if the 1st try didn't end the pregnancy 8. pelvic infection(germs from vagina or cervix enter the uterus) 9.perforation of the uterus 10. problems with childbearing in the future, plus there is the emotional like regret, sadness, etc.., some women do feel relief and some women I knew never adjusted well to the abortion. So why go through all this when you can block the uterus?? Of course, I have known women who went for the more permanent method which is tying the tubes which I have read is reversible.

Jennifer-I am saying that women should skip traditional birth control methods and replace them with Mirena IUD device that blocks the entrance to the uterus to avoid pregnancy. I am surprised that you don't know that an abortion can result in 1.cut/torn cervix 2.blood clots in uterus 3.pelvic infection 4.incomplete abortion 5.death 6. complications from anesthesia 7. repeated abortion if the 1st try didn't end the pregnancy 8. pelvic infection(germs from vagina or cervix enter the uterus) 9.perforation of the uterus 10. problems with childbearing in the future, plus there is the emotional like regret, sadness, guilt, some women feel relief and some women I knew never adjusted well to the abortion. So why go through all this if a doctor can block the uterus with a device that can block a woman from becoming pregnant and she won't have to face abortion?

You do realize that once the birth control has failed and pregnancy has been established, the cervix is ALREADY closed? Closing the "entry to the uterus" does zilch to end an unplanned pregnancy.

And Mirena is an IUD which works because an egg won't implant in the uterine wall while there's a foreign object in the uterus. However, there is a danger of infection and, possibly, permanent scarring that could prevent future wanted pregnancies.
