KY-Sen: Mitch McConnell Makes His Choice
Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 9:39 am
Rand Paul, the son of Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), has surprised a lot of people by surging in polls and fundraising to quasi-frontrunner status in next year’s U.S. Senate race in Kentucky. But Chris Cillizza reports that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is weighing in against Paul and hosting a fundraiser for Trey Grayson, the young secretary of state, whose “establishment” candidate credentials have been a little banged up by Paul’s campaign.

Yes, by all means. Why would the Republican party back any person that the people support?
Since when did it become them against us? I thought “them” were supposed to work for us?
To heck with what the party hacks. I support Rand!

Is anyone really surprised. The establishment wants lap dogs. The people want pit bulls.

McConnel wants his hand picked lackey who will be a convenient pawn for whatever machinations he intends. Disgusting.
For the good of Kentucky and the country, let us hope Rand Paul prevails. Send him a donation to help make it happen.

I hope Kentuckians can hope to win on their conscience and avoid losing by fleecing their souls. Rand Paul 2010!

Is Trey married with a family? He seems a bit immature somehow. Seems jealous about voters' “crush on this doctor from Bowling Green.”

Why would McConnell have to go all the way to NY for a fund raiser for Trey Grayson? Is there no support for Grayson in KY? Let's see, McConnell voted for the bail out of Wall Street and Wall Street is in NY…and they have lots of our tax dollars to give back…..seems to be a dis-connect between the Republican leadership and the Conservative base. KY you can lead the way. Elect Rand Paul for Senate 2010. Time to clean house!

Maybe if Grayson reminds the Clintons that he supported them, they'll throw a fundraiser for him too.
