Politico reports that Republicans are labeling the Fort Hood tragedy an act of “terrorism,” and Rasmussen Reports is out with a poll backing up that CW:
Should the shooting incident be investigated by military authorities as a terrorist act or by civilian authorities as a criminal act?
60 percent – Military authorities as a terrorist act
27 percent – Civilian authorities as a criminal act
13 percent - Not sure
I think the “military/civilian” wording might be skewing this, and would love to see a “clean” poll on the question.

Rasmussen is a Republican scumbag. The wording is deliberate.
Why no option for “military investigation of a criminal act”?
Because Scotty Rasmussen is a dishonest sack of shit.

87% of the voters in this poll are clueless. Baseless opinions say volumes about loose-talkers, but nothing about the causes of this tragic event. This is going to be a slow and painful investigation, which may never reveal an an adequate explanation for incomprehensible actions which tragically changed the lives of so many innocent people.
