Democratic Congressman Demands Apology from Bachmann

Flush off of the upset Democratic victory in NY-23, which he had a big hand in, Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.), who is Jewish, is demanding that Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) apologize for sponsoring Thursday’s anti-health care reform rally, which brought to the hill signs comparing health reform to the Holocaust.

“I just cannot believe that Congresswoman Bachmann sponsored and brought to the American people, the use of images from the Holocaust, actual photographs of skeletal remains of people from the cremetoria, in order to make a point about the health insurance bill,” says Israel. “I can’t believe that Congresswoman Bachmann would stand where she stood and see those images and not have the common decency to say, ‘I disagree with the use of those images.’”

It’s another sign, if any were needed, that Democrats consider Bachmann a useful foil. And it’s another attempt to make Republicans pay for embracing the energy of Tea Party activists.

Nothing new for Michele Bachmann. Here's one of her supporters at her anti-gay hate rally on the steps of the Minnesota State Capitol a few years ago:

Oh poor Democrat cry babies. It's sort of obscene to be devoted towards creating more dead babies and yet only be offended by photos of them.

Just promulgation of more hate and fear from the party of go. Go nowhere!

Instead of logging in and doing their JOBS, these Representatives spout more crap in the name of their party! Sounds like a death-knell to me.

Bauchmann and the GOP are promoting hate–that's what the sign they supported was there to do.

The crowd that likes this type of hate mongering is composed of sad, small, little people ho need to have something like this make them feel 'big'.

The so called 'energy' of the 'tea' people, that's sad as well. What motivates them? Seeing Holocaust victims piled dead? What a commentary on 'energy'–hearing about 'death panels'?

'energy'? yeah, hate is full of adrenalin and that's what they're fed..

Sad, isn't it?

I was once a Republican, myself. I was introduced to the extremist vent of their politics 15 years ago. I couldn't in good concience remain one and be able to look at myself in the morning.

I see what's happening now, and it's much, much worse. The current of fear and hate is too much. They don't speak for me, anyway, being a minority.

Bachmann is just an extreme example of their self-destructive ways. That they thrive on this crap doesn't bode well for them in 2010. With good folk like you jumping off the sinking ship, they don't stand a chance.

If the shoe fits WEAR IT!

Have you read about CERs? If not you better.

They are the Councils that will decide what care you get… funded, appointed and in place thanks to the stimulus bill. WE ARE ONTO YOU and we will NOT back down. Bachmann has nothing to apologize for except the stupidity of the Democrats who are leading us over a cliff.

This government administration is a disgrace. They have no right to bankrupt us on purpose and take over health care and force people to buy insurance or fine them thousands of dollars.

You will be sorry you did not stand up for freedom. You will be a slave too.
How can you be so cavalier about your freedoms????

If it takes demonstrating how we feel towards these people using signs like that we will do it. Our children's lives are at stake.

You have a choice–the Almighty is supposed to have given everyone a free will.
I thought thought the Almighty was supposed to judge–not politicians.

Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) get real. Your political attempt to turn the debacle of Obama's radical agenda into a plus for you among a Jewish constituency is pathetic. There are tons of elderly Jewish folk like my parents who fear you and your Leftist, Collectivist, Marxist, Maoist, Statist camarades under the Obama flag more than the Swine flu, the Bird flu and the Ebola viruses combined. The Democrat Party has left (Left) me behind this time around. Obama has not brought the troops home and that is just one of hundreds of broken promises. May the wrath of all who have ever fought and died to protect this country invade your soul and make you repent for your disingenious garbage and for dishonoring our Constitution (where is Government run Healthcare authorized in the Constitution (18% of the GDP)? Where does it say that the bill that you DO NOT READ and that your boss Nancy Pelosi DOES NOT LET US READ is authorized or condoned by the Constitution. Millions have risked their lives and many millions have died to make us the America that we are – NOT the America that you want for us. QUIT . . RESIGN . . . APOLOGIZE for the disgrace that you are in Congress and do it before we kick your sorry A## out of office.

You defend an institution that kills more Americans than the Afghanistan and Iraq wars combined- Every month!

Bush and his cronies shit on the Constitution for seven years at the very least, so, so much for that complaint. You knuckleheads still need to live that down.

He also let big business shit all over us in the meantime, placating us with bullshit tax rebates for the right to bolster their “right to entitlement”, as well as allowing wall street to sell us out, as well. Here's another one to live down, as well.

18% of GDP? Where did that come from? Your precious healthcare insurance industry is bleeding that from the American people now. And we're still dying at the hands of these mass murderers.

How about you? Have YOU read the bill? Do YOU even know what in the hell you're whining about? Or do YOU swallow every little idiotic thing the fundamentalists in your party (which is destroying it, by the way) tells you?

I am an Iraq War vet, and I know what I fought for, and it wasn't the anti-American bullshit you wackos espouse.

The key word in this harangue is FEAR. You and your ilk thrive on fear; you seem to enjoy scaring the hell out of your little old jewish parents with your paranoid delusions—-you should be ashamed of yourself for exploiting the elderly in such a fashion.
Disgusting
