		<description>Ari, I&#039;d be interested in how you&#039;d weigh in on the following: that the current economic crisis was precipitated by the creeping politicization of lending policies, ie. the pressuring of appropriations committees to influence financial institutions (particularly those with federal backing) to provide loans on the basis of demographics rather than credit strength (how the market would decide). Skewing the responsibility to private institutions is a diversion from first causes (though I concede that they probably don&#039;t fly on angel&#039;s wings).</description>
