Considering AQ/Taliban are fighting for their very existence on their own soil, and we're fighting against the possibility that some of them could someday, somehow, kill a few of us… I would be very surprised if they didn't have more at stake, and didn't want to “win” (completely dependent on your definition of “winning” a war anyway) more.
