NY-23: ‘The Best Choice for Progressives’

Josh Kraushaar finds the allies of Doug Hoffman, the Conservative Party candidate in the NY-23 special election, airing a phony ad for Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava under the guise of a phony group called Common Sense for America. The funding comes from Jackson Stephens, a board member of the Club for Growth.

Republican candidate Jim Tedisco took some damage from negative ads run on his behalf by hard-right allies during the NY-20 special election earlier this year.
