Someone should dig into Dede Scozzafava's relationship with Seaway Capital Corp. in which she was a shareholder and her brother conned millions of dollars out or unsuspecting investors.

That's the slickeest one sentence straw-man argument I've ever seen, Weigel. But the worst possible outcome has nothing to do with the President. The worst possible outcome is one that lets our perenially over-confident, yet chronically under-performing government get its nose into any business, let alone health care.

These days “bi-partisanship” is a euphemism for “willing to roll over and play dead”. If you're not willing to do that, say the Democrats, why, then you're an obstructionist or even a racist.

Win or Lose, Hoffman is the right choice for conservative valued folks. The message is to the NRCC and RNC to choose conservatives, not RINO's.

As an Independent voter, I am appalled at the spending this congress is pushing thru. As well as the "break the bank" healthcare, Cap and Trade, and soon... amnesty for illegal aliens. Pushing our national debt at 14 Trillion or more is not responsible government.

Why is it so hard for democrats to understand reducing taxes to stimulate the economy is the best thing they could do?

Tort reform?

Remove state barriers for health insurance?

I absolutely agree. When you are right and someone else is wrong, there is no value in compromise for its own sake. If you disagree, I think you should chew on a box of rusty nails. If you don't want to, then you should chew on half a box of rusty nails and pat yourself on the back for being “bipartisan” … all the way to the Emergency Room.
