How to Burn Pelosi and Reid in Effigy
Monday, October 26, 2009 at 10:54 am
Randall Terry, the anti-abortion rights activist whose visibility has been on the way up since relocating his operation to Washington, is launching another please-let-this-become-viral campaign: encouraging conservatives to create flaming effigies of Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to protest Democratic support of abortion rights. The explanatory video (which doesn’t feature Terry, last seen dressing up as a murderous doctor to protest Democratic health care plans) goes through how to print up the effigy — they suggest Kinkos — how to get a crowd, and how to contact the media.
“Be safe, have fun,” says the instructor, “and remember — you’re engaging in a proud heritage of American protest.”
The decision to use the leaders of the House and Senate, instead of the African-American president, seems like a wise one by Terry et al. And it all makes a lot more sense than the Dadaesque preview video:

Why not have the courage to burn Obama in effigy? He's more pro-abortion than Reid and pelosi.
What, scared of being called a racist? Not going to bow to political correctness are we?
Burning people in effigy because they are white is not honest…

How many times did Jesus talk about abortion? How many times did Jesus talk about helping the poor? Focusing on the former non-Biblical claptrap and ignoring the latter Biblical urgings seems a sure way to wind up in the place this guy tries to tell us not to go to.
From the parable of the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25, at http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mat…
41″Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
44″They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
45″He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
46″Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

This stretches the boundary between free speach and threatening behavior. Burning a flag is one thing because the flag represents an abstract ideal. Burning images of people, however is, to me at least, an assault against a person since the images do not represent an abstract ideal as a flag does, but real people. It's intent is not to protest an abstract ideal, but to intimidate a person. I bet the secret service and the FBI pays a visit to this guy.

I would burn Mr. Terry in effigy this Halloween, but I'm pretty sure no one would know who he was. Because he's irrelevant.

Also engaging in a proud heritage of Christian hate. Good luck with that, Saint Peter-wise.

Name the last pro-life organization that Harry Reid supported. Any organization any time. Name the last time he actively did anything pro-life for the media to report on. I'm willing to bet that you can't. He is pro-life in name only. He tows the party line for the pro-death democrats, every time without fail.

Randall Terry is obeying the word of God, who created all human beings, of whom babies are the most innocent, and those who murder them will one day be judged, whether they know or care doesn't matter, you can be sure it will happen if they haven't repented before they leave this world! God doesn't lie!!! May God prosper Mr.Terry in continuing to “STOP BABY KILLING'!!!
