NY-23: DCCC Attacks Hoffman, Aided by the Club for Growth

Last week, it was clear that Democrats considered the NY-23 race closer than the polls suggested, and that Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman had truly stopped being a “spoiler” and started being a possible winner. Today, the DCCC is going after Hoffman with the first negative ad anyone has run against him.

I’ve asked the DCCC how big this buy is. One thing that jumped out at me: the ad jujitsus Hoffman’s conservative support against him. The message of the ad, basically, is that the wealthy candidate backs economic policies that would make him richer. The source? The Club for Growth:
