Western CPAC Brings Together Pawlenty, Whitman, and … Birthers

The Western Conservative Political Action Conference has always been a smaller sibling to the annual Washington, D.C., CPAC. It’s gained some strength this year with the addition of speakers like Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R-Minn.) and California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman. But it’s also attracted some notable “birthers.” Tonight’s VIP reception for Pawlenty, which Whitman is also scheduled to attend, will feature Floyd Brown, the longtime GOP activist who is fundraising for both an “impeach Obama” campaign and a campaign to get the media to cover the birth certificate “issue.”

Here’s part of a fundraising letter I got last month from Brown.

On Saturday afternoon, Gary Kreep, one of the first conservative lawyers to sue for proof of Barack Obama’s citizenship, is moderating a panel on “The Rule of Nebulous Law: Thoughts on the Modern Judiciary.”

The fact we today do not have a President and Commander in Chief is becoming more and more well known. About time! If you know “anybody” that is not aware of the sad set of affairs our country is now in -PLEASE- educate them until you get them to understand that there is really a problem, why the problem exists, who is trying to solve this situation, and what they can do to help save America from this Communist coup. Together we stand but divided we could fall. We need to “ALL” come together to defeat this invading Evil and foreign usurper. Like we did way back in 1776 we have to fight for our Freedom, but together we can win this confrontation and keep America Free.

Gary Creep and the rest of the so called “conservative” panel need to know there is nothing “nebulous” about the interpretation of the reauirements of the US. Consttitution regarding presidential candidates to be 'natural born citizens.' Now is it nebulous what a natural born citizen is. TThere's no debate about it. The Constitution requires Presidential candidates to be born on American soil of two American parents.

Obama, himself, revealed his ineligibility for the office when he tried to make his incredibly boring book a little more exciting by admitting that his father was indeed a British citizen of Kenya. Since we all know he is not eligible for the office, and the U.S. Supreme Court has refused to take action, his continued efforts to conceal the evidence of his brith is an indication there is something even more incriminating in the records.

One might wonder if his mother surrendered her American citizenship in favor of Kenyan citizenship making her son a citizen of Kenya and not an American citizen at all.

The past nine months have proven without a doubt that absolutely nothing is beneath this president.

I am unsure if I have changed anyone's mind, but I learned about Obama’s citizenship early in the presidential campaign and I made a commitment to speak to someone at least weekly and post online about the citizenship issue every day. I have kept that commitment, but my liberal friends are so blinded by love for Mr. Obama they cannot or will not see the truth. My conservative friends and I are seeking to join a like minded group in order to make a greater impact.

I believe the documentation of Mr. Obama’s eligibility for the Presidency is critical to the survival of our nation. I believe in collusion with the Saudi controlled media (including FOX) he is conspiring to conceal documentation of his qualifications from the American people. I believe his constant televised speeches and bizarre travels to be little more than diversionary tactics designed to distract the American public from the issue of his eligibility for office.

As our founding fathers understood, his citizenship not only divides his loyalty, it offers individuals and groups the opportunity to blackmail him to enforce laws to support their cause.

The image of our country is tarnished by our willingness to overlook this blatant disregard for our Constitution and our only hope for restoring our country to its once great position of honor in the world, we must immediately remove this man from office. Waiting for him to be defeated in 2012 only weakens our image in the eyes of the world and in the eyes of our citizens.

You indicated someone or some group is trying to 'solve the situation.' Please specify how I may join any group of which you are aware.

Do not impeach, PROSECUTE! And do it NOW!!

jai, we are being set up for some grand plan. They arranged it so that no matter how we voted we would end up with a usurper. McCain was not born on American Soil so if he would have won we would be in the same position just on different sides. They have something up their sleeves and this has been in the plans for years. Even George Sr. talked about a New World Order. That is the scary part. I have always thought America was supposed to be better than the rest of the world not just the like the rest. But I know the New Plan is for all citizens to be the same. All subservient to some self imposed higher order. Well I say “F” That! Keep spreading the truth, we are stronger apart than in a group.

Now wait just a minute. The solicitation for money states your contribution is tax deductible. Tax deductible means either a church or a non-profit corporation. Non-profits and churches cannot be political. This sounds pretty political to me. Perhaps non-profit status is not deserved for this organization. And it calls itself the Western Center For Journalism? What happened to journalism being unbiased?? That is obviously not happening here. Not that these people will ever be able to comprehend reality. The birth certificate has already been produced. I guess we shouldn't make fun of those who are so mentally challenged.

Nowhere does the constitutional requirements say both parents have to be citizens before a child is born to be a natural born citizen. The president was born in Hawaii and is a natural born citizen and the duly elected president of the United States. The world is thrilled with our president, haven't you noticed? Our constitution is doing just fine. It even allows mothballs like you guys to say all this foolish crap without suffering the consequences that you would in many other countries. Oily Taters is another matter. Not naturally born, hopefully not long for these shores. She needs to be deported back to whence she came.

Wrong. Well… you're right that there's nothing nebulous about it, you're just wrong on what it means. Contrary to birthers strained attempts to rewrite the Constitution, “natural born” means the same thing it has always meant, “citizen at birth.” That's what it meant under British common law, that's what it meant under the citizenship laws of the states prior to the ratification, and that's what it still means today.

It's the opposite of “naturalized.” Natural-IZED means MADE a citizen, natural BORN means BORN a citizen. That's all it has ever meant.

Birthers are trying very hard to invent some special third kind of citizenship that has never existed before. But it doesn't work. You are either automatically (naturally) a citizen by the circumstances of your birth (thus the word “born”) or you are made a citizen later (thus the suffix “ized.”)
