Club for Growth Knocks Gingrich Over Scozzafava Endorsement
Friday, October 16, 2009 at 1:41 pm
I just talked with Club for Growth Executive Director David Keating about his group’s activity in the NY-23 special election. The Club, like many other conservative groups, has endorsed Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman over GOP candidate Dede Scozzafava. But this morning, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich endorsed Scozzafava, arguing that a GOP win was essential to a Republican comeback.
“Gingrich does this all the time,” said Keating. “He does whatever the party committee asks him to. He likes to cultivate this image of being an innovator and a thinker and so on, and then he endorses the most tired, worn-out, special interest-genuflecting candidate you can possibly find.”

What exactly is the Club's interest in this race? Scozzafava's only non-conservative stances involve abortion, which the Club shouldn't really care about. (I know they're frauds, but rarely are they this openly fraudulent.)
(By the way, David, your link goes to Geekologie.)

What? You got something against superheroes in old war photos? (Nice catch)

Oh, my life has been considerably bettered by superheroes in old war photos. (Evil Bert did it better though.)

Scozzafava's non-conservative stance also includes an economic record that stinks.

Nice job Newt, with Republicans like her, why have a separate party? Hey, I guess the Republicans think the reason they're gaining some traction is because they're more like Democrats. Has it occurred to them their gains are Democrat falls? Just like the Dems thought the country was ready for socialism because they voted the Republicans out. Are any of these politicians playing with a full deck? Or is power
the only thing they care about? 3rd party opportunities abound. Dump 'em all.

“Scozzafava's only non-conservative stances involve abortion.”
Are you kidding? Or do you simply define conservatism in a way that excludes issues such as medical marijuana, President Obama's stimulus package, pro-union “card check” legislation that would sidestep the secret ballot process, and same-sex marriage–all of which Scozzafava supports and/or has voted for in the NYS Assembly?
Scozzafava got a 15% voter rating from the Conservative Party last year. That means she voted correctly three times out of 20.
I'm not sure where you're getting your information, but it doesn't sound like you're getting it from a reliable source.

Utterly laughable, Justin.
Scozzafava has endorsed Big Labor's card check/anti-secret ballot legislation
Scozzafava is a favorite of the Daily Kos, a far left website, who gleefully chuckle calling her the most liberal candidate in the field.
She has supported pretty much everything president Obama has come up with during these last disastrous 9 months, including Obamacare.
You sir, are laughable. I can only assume you're a plant from the Daily Kos site. Because humans who can figure out a computer simply don't come quite as stupid as you purport to be.

The Republicans are at their most unpopular in years. Being batshit lunatics and paranoid bigots isn't working for you.

It's all fun and games and derisive laughter until some Paultard goes all McVeigh on us. Mockery is fine and all, and I engage in it frequently, but the price of liberty is eternal vigilance.

Newt -what were you thinking???? or were you? She was as far from a “republican” as possible. You know how she would have voted had she won – PELOSI all the way. she was not the Republican Party. Thank Goodness she dropped out and you can now back the conservative. There were two dems running Newt. If I can see it, surely you could have too.
