To those (presumably) liberals who don't see a problem with the czars and think this is “republican noise” — wake up! If Feingold's investigating, there's a problem here. Unlike most Dems, our Russ is one of those rare politicians who has PRINCIPLES. Don't expect a whitewash of this abuse of executive powers from him (the ONLY senator to vote against the “patriot act”!)

The fact that he has author Bradley Patterson Jr scheduled to appear as a witness tells you all you need to know. The guy is an authority on what is required to run the Executive Branch of Government AND he had a unprecedented access to the Bush administration as they appointed their “Czars” I fully expect Feingold to refer to Mr. Patterson's testimony when dismissing all of these ridiculous concerns.

I can only hope that his plan is to turn this back in the face of the Republicans by throwing their doubletalk in their faces. Point out to them how there were more “czar” positions in the Bush administration than there are in the Obama administration. Point out how “czar” positions in the Obama administration are positions that existed for decades previously but never were given that tag until now. Make it clear publicly how ridiculous of a non-issue this is.

Feingold's focus on this republican wet dream means he has less time to spend on the issues that affect our state and the nation.
