Grayson Apologizes
Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 8:37 pm
Dave has been following the saga of Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.), who incited a GOP uproar this week after charging that the Republicans’ health reform strategy is to let the sick “die quickly.” The comment caused GOP leaders to threaten an anti-Grayson resolution, to be introduced if Grayson failed to apologize for his remarks.
Roll Call has the tale of the apology, delivered Wednesday afternoon on the House floor:
After speaking extensively to the press, Grayson came to the floor with an apology, but not for the Republican Party.
“I would like to apologize,” he said. “I would like to apologize to the dead.”
No word yet of the GOP response.

The Republican's rhetoric has been over the top for months now as they carry on about socialism, death panels, neo-Confedrates screaming “you lie”and other lunacy but they are shocked at such rudeness and partisanship.
This is the first Democrat to tell it like it is in a long time.

It's amusing really, Grayson is speaking of a plan, that won't be implemented for four years, that is preceded by 600 million dollars in Medicaid cuts, that will be administered with the IMAC and theFCCER, in part by a figure, who has basic qualms about the hippocratic oath, Ezekiel Emmanuel

Okay, I largely agree with the sentiment (though I don't think the GOP cares too much whether the average person lives or dies due to lack of health insurance, quickly or slowly, most of them don't *want* those people to die), but I think Grayson should cut back on the jackassery. Not only doesn't it undermine the narrative taking hold that, criticize the Democrats all you want, but the Republicans are all totally crazy assholes, it also hurts Grayson's reelection chances.
We shouldn't give Republicans and the corporate mainstream media who usually follow the Republican narrative any openings for bullshit equivalencies.

Alan Grayson is an American hero. He represents dozens of whistle blowers in cases involving fraud committed by a virtual who's who of military contractors in Iraq. He is a billionaire and doesn't take crap from anyone. I sure wish he was my congress critter that is for sure.

Single-payer GRAYSON Single-payer
…It would have been just too damn expensive to remove all that asbestos from the Twin Towers…
As the 9/12 Tea Party looks into the events of 9/11 they have many questions concerning the Official Story.
They know not to trust the Government & Media.
Only the guilty fear inquiry.
An ill wind comes arising
Across the cities of the plain
There's no swimming in the heavy water
No singing in the acid rain

This guy is a real moron. Sorry he is not a “billionaire” and the IRS should be looking into some of his investments. Grayson will be a one termer, he knows it. What an embarrassment.

The funny thing about most rightwingers is that, despite their penchant for character assassination and invective, they've got REAL thin skin.LOL

Let's get a sense of scale here.
Bin Laden kills four thousand.
44,000 die each year because of lack of health insurance support.
We've spent say 1.5 trillion on convoluted efforts in the 'war on terror'. That's about 375 million per death.
The proposed cost – worst case scenario – of 'socialized' health care for the 44 thousand not covered: about 100,000 dollars or two thousand per person.
So the lives of the Bin Laden 4000 are worth 187,000 times that of the person down the street.
Why? The congressman who voted to go war with Afghanistan and Iraq has his heart swell with pride and excitement over the vote. The congressman who votes for healthcare reform is biting his nails and looking at his polling numbers because the media makes it sound like it's dangerous to favor pooling our resources to insure everyone. It's all in the emotional and intellectual environment created by the media (over long periods of time, admittedly) about the value of human life.

THANK YOU, Mr. Grayson, for telling it exactly the way it is!

The incident, which almost certainly ruined Kennedy as a national candidate (it’s easy to imagine him being elected president if Kopechne hadn’t been left to die), has been included in all of Kennedy’s major media obits.

While shortest prom dress and quinceanera dresses are very famous to reveal girls beauty prom dress, and are always fooling selection to many informal balls prom dresses and parties, long prom clothes is the right choice to traditional prom dresses young ladies. Many people including some parents think that a short prom dress is too exposing with exposed back or without straps Prom Dresses.
