Obama on Energy, How McCain Is Old

Dayton, OH–Ah, energy plans. Today the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama stopped about an hour north of our hometown–where our friend Ephraim’s grandfather is buried between the Wright Brothers and Paul Lawrence Dunbar and not far from the founder of Huffy Bikes–to give a speech on how his plan to fix the hole in the Ozone, eliminate all smog, reduce our reliance on foreign oil and create a wind/solar based energy grid differs from that of his Republican rival John McCain’s nuclear-clean coal future.
While Obama failed to unveil anything really new, he did bring out his new rhetorical toy he’s been playing with lately, which the kids absolutely eat up. He begins by quoting John McCain’s statement about the failure of government to form a solution on this country’s energy plans for the past thirty years.
