who are we to ostracize these people just because they come to this country to better their lives and the lives of their families. doesnt America pride itself on being a “melting pot”? then why the hell are we excluding and making it almost impossible for immigrants to make a decent living, legal or illegal.
then theres the bs excuse of “they should learn the language” and all that other crap. why are we so dam persistant in wanting them to assimilate to our culture? let them have their own culture and tradition and let us have our.
we complain that these ilegal immigrants are taking our jobs, but they do the jobs that most Americans dont want, and do them for wages bellow minimum wage. Our government makes it so hard for these people to actually move forward. its not like they want to live without paying taxes and most of them want to one day achieve lagality in this country, but our government makes the process so costly and difficult for them. advocators for the health care bill that claim illegal immigrants should not be covered base it on the fact that they wont pay the taxes that go into funding this reform. this isnt because illegal immigrants want a free ride because most of them can afford to pay, but it is because our government makes it so hard for them to even become citizens in the first place.
and to all the people who say they should go back to their own country, then your ancestors should have done the same thing and never steped foot on American soil. Some of these comments are ignorant, racist, and rude. You should be ashamed of yourselves. These are human being we are talking about who deserve basic rights just as any American. We criticise other countries for the crimes they commit on humanities but we do the same crap in ours and try to justify it.

No illegal alien or there anchor babies should get any type of benefit, To me and most of America they are nothing but rats that have snuck in to this country and by doing so deserve NADA! Even Dems know this thats why they are gettin g mnothing. To make the child of a illegal alien a citizen is insane at best, they have no loyalty to America or Americans. I do not feel bad for these rats what so ever. They should be rounded up like the criminals they are and deported by any means possible. Legal immagrints have nothing what so ever to worry about, I favor Profiling, what ever means to rid my country of these RATS

There is no such thing as a “Native American” because humans are not native to this continent. There are native-born U.S. citizens, naturalized immigrants, aliens with the lawful right to reside in our country, and then there are illegal alien work thieves and anchor babies — and the cowbird babies that they drop in our nest.

Yes, some of my ancestors were LEGAL immigrants who worked to show their loyalty and dedication to their new country.

You don't seem to get the irony of your statements. Native Americans were native born, not your ancestors. You require loyalty of the citizens, yet admit your ancestors were not only disloyal to their government, they rebelled. So thanks for clarifying…your ancestors were disloyal immigrants who were not native born to this land.

No my ancestors were not loyal to Great Britain, they revolted against it to found this new country that you think "your people" are entitled to suck benefits from ad nasuem. Do you have reading comphrension problems?

It is not unreasonable to expect loyalty from people who sup at my table, eat my food, and warm themselves at my fire. Do you think that "Latinos" or anyone else should be able to do avail themselves of all that we provide, then stab us in the back so they can get a few more goodies out of us for "their people" back home?

If you want to benefit from a country and the people who built it, you show loyalty to it and them. That is what decent people do. That is the basics of a nation. A nation cannot survive without loyalty.

Once again, this is what it's about: cutting benefits for native-born Americans who worked hard all their lives to build this country and pay huge taxes to support its social services, in order to "give" these same benefits to illegal foreign lawbreakers who never paid a dime for those social services,

And why would we want to do that? Just because loudmouth "Latinos" like Janet Murguia and Daphne Eviatar are more loyal to their "race" than to their country? The country that took them in and gave them a chance to have a better way of life than they had in the Third World hellholes they came from?

There are a lot of words to describe that attitude; I am not sure that "disloyalty" is sufficient.

I have to ask and will continue to ask: Are the only illegal immigrants those from Mexico? I think not!! So you hate “Mexicans?” What about someone here illegally from Denmark, Norway, Australia, South Africa? They will fall under the same law.
What frightens me is that, if an ethnic person of brown color lies bleeding in the street, the bigots among you will walk by and allow him or her to die without rendering aid because you are positive that the skin color equals “illegal alien.”
Think of the child with pneumonia. Will that innocent have to die because of the same bigotry?
Some of you are “Christians.” Ask yourself: What would Jesus do? THEN, FOR GOD'S SAKE, DO IT!!
