Poll: One in Three New Jersey Conservatives Thinks Obama Might Be the Anti-Christ

By
Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 12:20 pm

Public Policy Polling’s habit of asking revealing, bizarre questions continues with a survey of New Jersey voters that finds—as President Obama’s approval rating dips slightly—only 79 percent of voters ready to rule out the possibility that their president is the Anti-Christ. Eight percent say he is, while 13 percent are not sure.

Further breakdowns on that question:

Picture 62

- Twelve percent of McCain voters think Obama is the Anti-Christ. Twenty-one percent are not sure.

- Fourteen percent of Republicans think Obama is the Anti-Christ. Fifteen percent are not sure.

- Eighteen percent of “conservative” voters think Obama is the Anti-Christ. Seventeen percent are not sure.

The big surprise here–the group of voters most likely to think Obama is the Anti-Christ are … Hispanics, who solidly backed Obama in 2008. Only 58 percent of them say, for sure, that their president is not Satan come to wreak havoc here on earth.

They should also ask questions that better define the people survey — something like:

Does the devil know where you live?

Does Jesus approve of your adultery?

Would you shake hands with a black man?

Is it ever appropriate to have sex with your children?
With other people's children?

I don't necessarily equate truthers with birthers, as the questions are often too vague with truthers, like in this poll.

Do you think that George W. Bush had advance knowledge of the 9/11 terrorist attacks?

Now, what does this mean? Does it mean he knew that the specific attacks were coming at a specific date and time, and did nothing to prevent them, or that some unspecified attacks were coming (we have evidence that this is true)? Or does it mean it was an inside job? It's unclear. Most truthers I have encountered believe it was an inside job. Those are certainly truthers. Are people who think Bush knew and did nothing truthers? Are people who just think Bush knew the risks, and decided they weren't worth devoting many resources to, also truthers?

There's much less ambiguity when it comes to birthers, IMO.

As to the truther question, I agree, it is too vague. As to whether Bush had advance knowledge of the 9/11 attacks, what was Richard Clarke screaming about, with the Aug 6 Presidential Daily Brief and Tenet's hair on fire? It is easy to defend the proposition that Bush had advance knowledge that *something* was up with Al Qaeda.

As to the anti-Christ repsondents being stupid or delusional – really? I'll wager I could find a decent number of Dems in agreement with the proposition that Bush was a lying SOB. Are they all whack jobs who think Bush's mother is literally a dog? Maybe!

Hispanics tend to be Catholic; as I commune with my inner lapsed Catholic I remember that in the middle ages every prominent politician was the anti-Christ for fifteen minutes – it was a very common accusation, sort of like the current insistence that all Republicans who oppose health care reform are racist.

My guess – either NJ Hispanics are whack jobs (less likely), or Catholics tend to be more comfortable tossing the “Anti-Christ” bomb.

The poll is also laughably noisy, probably because respondents were in automated phone call hell, trying to type 1 if they think Obama is the Anti-Christ and so on. Turns out that something like 5% of Obama voters think he is the anti-Christ (and, somewhat consistently, favor the abolition of the Federal government); 5% of Obama voters are birthers, with another 9% not sure; 9% of self-proclaimed Democrats are birthers, with another 12% not sure. Either there are a lot of Hillary backers clinging bitterly to their gal, or the poll is a mess.

LOL: I think there is a SUBSTANTIAL difference between believing that a politician is a “lying SOB” and actually proclaiming them to be the “anti-Christ”.

There actually was an ongoing thread posted on the IMDB website for the film “The Omen” a few years back speculating whether Dubya Bush might in fact be the Anti-Christ. However, the vast majority of posters, Dems and Repubs alike, almost unanimously agreed that Bush is simply TOO STUPID to be the Devil's Progeny.

Really? Murdoc? I doubt it. First do historical referencing of where the idea of “anti-christ” started. It depends on what version you are attempting to invoke. Nostradumbass said there would be three, but his idea of an anti-christ was of just an evil human being, it wasn't really biblical in nature. The third being Marbus. Something that is more plausible than the biblical notion, as evil destructive people exist. If you are invoking the religious anti-christ that relates to the har megiddo (armageddon) then it's just hocus pocus. Why are humans so infatuated with fantasy and mystical stuff, and fail at logic? That's a better question.

Would that it were possible to call out Dubbya as a “murderer” because of his involvement in undeclared wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. At best, however, Dubbya's merely guilty of violating the U.S. Constitution. Those “Iraqi civilians” over whom you're weeping your “Liberal” crocodile tears are neither more nor less victims of a “murderer” than were the millions of French, German, Italian, and Japanese civilians killed in the course of military operations undertaken by “progressive” Franklin D. Roosevelt back in the '40s.

On t'other hand, Barry Soetoro has a long and sustained personal record with an unarguable criminal organization – ACORN – that transcends the issues of armed conflict and goes right into all sorts of wonderful violations of federal, state, and municipal law.

So what did Barry know about ACORN, and when did he know it?

I think you're making the wrong comparison, putzie. Forget about Dubbya, and compare your Mombasa Messiah instead to Al Capone.

I would have said no, but when you read the prophecy in the Bible and compare it to where Obama is taking this country and world, it appears he very well may be, or if he's not, he's awfully close to it. One-world govt, all the countries linked monetarily, banks, welfare, etc. “By peace shall many be destroyed.” He may very well be.

People put energy and attention into actions that will impact themselves and others. E.g. if you're shopping for food and concerned about cholesterol, you'll choose purchases carefully.

When a pollster calls up and asks if Obama is the Anti-Christ, there's practically zero riding on how you respond. Your answer is likely to have far less practical impact on anyone (compared to, say, which cereal you purchase). Your answer carries little meaning, one way or the other.

Judge sets court date in 'birther' case filed by Wiley Drake
By Bob Allen (from The Examiner)
Thursday, September 10, 2009
BUENA PARK, Calif. (ABP) — The so-called “Birthers” claimed a small victory Sept. 8 when a federal judge set a tentative trial date of Jan. 26, 2010, for a lawsuit claiming that President Obama is constitutionally ineligible for his office.
“We won again,” Wiley Drake, a former second vice president of the Southern Baptist Convention, said of the ruling by federal judge David Carter. Drake is one of several plaintiffs in the lawsuit alleging that Obama cannot hold his office because he does not meet the constitutional requirement that the president be a “natural-born” citizen.

Obama is NOT antichrist. The Man of Sin, The Lawless One will ascend out of the Abyss when he is allowed to do so. Obama is preparing the way for him to take over the USA. When authorities in Kenya saw Obama was elected they rejoiced and were going to make his birthplace in Kenya a tourist attraction. Then there was silence. No more words about it. When he was campaigning to be a Senator he was called Kenyan born in the newspapers. Both his grandmothers said he was not born in the USA. They knew his birthplace.

America is, without a doubt, in a rapid state of moral decline. But not because of it's leadership. It follows the inexorable downward path of the erstwhile Roman Empire because its citizens are too fat, lazy and stupid to make the hard choices. They would rather elect leaders who do nothing but blow smoke up their collective asses with empty boasts about “America's greatness,” instead of making the hard decisions and clamping down on corporate greed.

It's amazing how white society sees what they want to see when it's advantageous to their beliefs and well being. The bible describes Jesus characteristcs close to Negroid proportions …hair like sheeps wool..skin etc..
Why is it that the Bible description of Jesus clearly makes him sound like a person who was of African descent yet all around us are these pictures of this blonde haired blue eyed white man?

I will admit that I have no actual facts on which my answers are based. However, in theory I think you must look at it from a historical point of view. Scientifically and perhaps even religiously it is easy for us to conceive that Jesus, in physical form, looked much like most of his followers at the time. In fact most historians know that it was unlikely that a man from his region would have had long light colored complexion/hair and blue eyes like most of the pictures that we've seen of him. Much the same way it would be unlikely that a person from India, China, Ethiopia, or Persia would have these features. Depending on which country you live you will often find pictures of Jesus that reflect that particular culture. More importantly, since the beginning of the recording of the New Testament politics played a major role in its interpretation and translation. Kings and Shahs and other political or religious leaders for centuries were the only ones that were literate and intentionally made alterations to the texts to benefit themselves and ensuring their power. Since then, most modern civilizations have just been too afraid, ignorant, and/or lazy to ban these false depictions and claim more accurate portrayals. When you think about it- it's pretty incredible how a simple image, whether realistic or fabricated, can affect the psychology of an entire people! Whatever the reason, I believe that mankind places far too much emphasis on how Jesus looked and not nearly enough on how he lived his life as an example of how we should live our own!

Answer:

Contrary to what the question suggests, the Bible gives no indication that Jesus appeared to be of Africa descent – in fact it gives no physical description of Jesus at all. However, reading between the lines as it were, we can glean some information about his appearance. Firstly, as a Jew from Galilean descent through Mary, genetically he would probably have dark hair and an olive complexion not unlike every other Jew of that area. As a carpenter he would be stocky and muscular – muscular and strong enough to overturn the moneychangers' tables at the Temple. However, judging by the impact he had on people, his whole demeanour must have been one of a highly charismatic character who, once seen, would never be forgotten – the sort of person who, when they look at you, their eyes pierce your very soul. Other than these gleanings and speculations, no other descriptions can really be ascertained. Of course, in art, the appearance of Jesus is portrayed as 'perfection' or 'pureness' or 'holiness' and often in the western world the convention is of a blond haired blue eyed, white, effeminate looking man, as that, for many people, is the ideal. Similarly, in other cultures Jesus is portrayed as black, oriental, Inuit, Asian or whatever. But the important thing is not what he looked like but who he is and what he did for mankind.
——————————————————————————–

But on the other hand, white society is qucik to claim a Negroe/Black (Barack O Bama) a sure sign of the Anti-Christ… go figure that!!!

But on the other hand, white society is qucik to claim a Negroe/Black (Barack O Bama) a sure sign of the Anti-Christ… go figure that!!!

I would actually be surprised if the evil one had dark skin. I do not think tha the is THE Anti Christ, but rather an Anti Christ. Remember Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini…none of them were the evil one either…but look at what they did to humanity.I believe they all were anti-Christ's as well. anti Christ is not just a person, one individual, but rather a spirit. It was on the earth as the New Testament was being written because it is recorded on those pages.. Read the book people!
…and actually Barak Obama is not Black or African American. He is a bi racial man with a Caucasian Mother and a Dark skinned African Father, born in Kenya.
But he fed on already existing offense and forgiveness of the black people, claiming to be their champion, he villianized another man in order to win. He lied, he passes legislation in the middle of the night, has a thousand unanswered questions like where did the college money come from…Harvard is expensive ya know…where's the birth certificate and what about that party in Kenya to celebrate his birthplace the was quickly squelched, lawsuits thrown out, radical Czars, and his Pastor was a radical racist hate filled man…who mentored him for 20 years bt the media called it a casual relationship, the list goes on He and he won the vote….
“And he shall come into power by intrigue”
definition of Intrigue:
verb: to arouse one's interests, fascinate:scheme, plot cabal
noun: the secret planning of something illicit or detrimental to someone (or someones): to scheme to plot, cabal.

It is also written that Jesus was from the lineage of David. So, if you read the stories of David, he was a fair man with blue eyes and ruddy hair (reddish brown) Now it says in the book of Isaiah that “He had no form or comeliness that we should desire Him.” So we know He did not look like those pics we see painted….of the feminine looking, handsome Jesus. The bible says he was not attractive to us.
But in the end, regardless of color, He was the Son of God.
And He is coming back. Are you ready?
And what if Barak is the evil one…or what he really is AN anti christ. He will destroy much before it is all over, I think.

Um no. The Anti-Christ is satan, come in the flesh…satan will inhabit this individual…. he always mimics what God Almighty does because he wants to be Him.
Um, no.
So, just like Jesus, (the only Begotten Son of God) is GOD ALMIGHTY come in the flesh….he is the embodiment of the evil one.

I would like to hear what evidence those who believe Obama is the Antichrist have to support their beliefs. I would imagine it color of skin, religion or political beliefs. In any event, how could you trust somebody with such an irrational belief system? Faith, I guess.

their beliefs and well being. The bible describes Jesus characteristcs close to Negroid proportions …hair like sheeps wool..skin etc..
Why is it that the Bible description of Jesus clearly makes him sound like a person who was of African descent yet all around us are these pictures of this blonde haired blue eyed white man?
