Bills are complex things, but it shocks me that a member of Congress, with staff, can't manage to digest the content:?SEC. 152. PROHIBITING DISCRIMINATION IN HEALTH CARE," which says that "[e]xcept as otherwise explicitly permitted by this Act and by subsequent regulations consistent with this Act, all health care and related services (including insurance coverage and public health activities) covered by this Act shall be provided without regard to personal characteristics extraneous to the provision of high quality health care or related services." However, the bill does explicitly say that ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS CAN'T GET ANY GOVERNMENT MONEY to pay for health care. Page 143 states: "Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States."

In fact, over his entire congressional career, health professionals represent Wilson’s top industry contributors, donating a total of $244,196 to his campaign, according to the Center for Responsive Politics OpenSecrets.org database. He received another $86,150 from pharmaceutical companies, $73,050 from insurance companies and $68,000 from hospitals and nursing homes.
Among Wilson’s top contributors are the American Hospital Association, a lobby group that represents the interests of hospitals and health networks, and the American Medical Association, which represents physicians.

And as it turns out your Golden boy SUPPORTED what he is now ranting about:
in 2003, Wilson voted to provide federal funds for illegal immigrants' healthcare. The vote came on the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003, which contained Sec. 1011 authorizing $250 million annually between 2003 and 2008 for government reimbursements to hospitals who provide treatment for uninsured illegal immigrants. The program has been extended through 2009 and there is currently a bipartisan bill in Congress to make it permanent.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/11/joe-wi...

I tried to remain silent on this topic because it is based on fallacy, but I find both your initial concept and summation faulty, sir. The Constitution of this republic firmly deny the government the power to deprive its citizens of the freedom of speech. And the freedom to assemble. And freedom from warrantless wiretaps. This document also expressly forbids warrantless seizure and holding of the citizens of the republic. You are not allowed to 'agree with' these policies; these ideas are what this republic is. I admit that our recently retired president did these things, but that does not alter the fact that these actions are forbidden by the Constitution. I find it reprehensible that citizens of this republic are proud to support those that do violence to the Constitution. I can only conclude that your understanding of the rules of grammar is matched by your understanding of the rule of law.

Sen Demint, like his fellow Republican of the same state, is supplying the illusion that they both read this bill. YEA RIGHT!!! There are 1000+ pages of intricate, licit language in these writings. None of our esteemed congressional rep read these pages. But they were fed the dissected, twisted and bias born versions by the minions of those compassionate, christian, church going slugs and luminaries, the execs from the insurance companies. Lets have the good senator stand by his statement and quote verbatim the mentioned wordings.

Mr. Haas, I assume your outrage was also fired up when our former Republican President created secret detention centers, allowed American Citizens to be arrested off the street and incarcerated in them, drove our national debt up for no other reason than subsidizing private pharmaceutical companies, actually did lie to his own Congress and the American people to put us into a long term war in Iraq, turned a blind eye to the economic factors that led to the current crash, established a self-admittedly illegal wiretapping program that targeted you and me (I'm assuming you're a US Citizen too), populated our Governement with syncophants that tore down the functioning of our country with their own ineptitude and ignorance, and... and... and...

Ah, what the heck, you really don't care about any of that, do you? You do realize it was the Marxists who killed the Czars? You 'believe' there's a rule? God help our Republic, because you certainly won't.

Am I ever embarrassed. First, the legislative history that will/would accompany this legislation would require any administration of the law to limit the enforcement to illegal immigrants. It is clear. If the problem were as egregious as Mr. Wilson suggests, an inclusion of some language to clarify the problem could be handled by an efficient lawmaker through amendment, etc. Apparently my Congressman (he is my Congressman) is inept as such a lawmaker. All he can do is shout at the President something that is off-the-wall incorrect. Incorrect because the bill never specifically included immigrants for any benefits and its legislative history is clear. Pretty sorry. One of the more important aspects of this is the illegal immigrant issue in the first place. SC boasts some the the least expensive housing in the nation which is in great measure because the builders depend on illegal immigrants for their cheap, but pretty good, labor. Check out the bricklayers in SC. Most are Mexican. Who checks their credentials--And I don't mean a driver's license purchased for $25. Good-Ole Joe might want to look at some of these issues to better take care of the 12% unemployment figures in the Palmetto State. But his ability as a legislator is terrible and all he is capable of is making a fool of himself (President Obama looked substantially better accepting Mr. Wilson's apology which by his subsequent statements was nor true--what a hippocrit). Further, he has not had any meaningful legislation in years. Hopefully, the demos will not close our Fort Jackson in reprisal. Had someone with a military base cried out similarly against a Bush statement, their would be harsh consequences. Possibly, if we get someone responsible next election, we continue to will have Fort Jackson in our backyard.

This is all about the underlying, hideous factor of the racism that is so deeply ingrained in the American character. The attempt to portray this president (Of all people!) as a socialistic, left wing extremist doesn’t even pass the giggle test for people who have bothered to pay attention to their times and their history. Let’s face it - Franklin D. Roosevelt, he ain’t! They can’t obstruct his agenda with a manufactured scandal regarding his personal life, as they did with Bill Clinton. eleven years ago. Their only hope is for enough of the American people to become really frightened by the Big, Bad Negro Commie. An ironic description when one takes into consideration how boringly moderate Obama really is.

Think about this: In the last presidential campaign only one of the nominees of the two major political parties was born in the United States - Barack Obama - John McCain was born in Panama. Do you find it as revealing as I do that it was the black guy had his citizenship called into question? How much more proof do we need of the overt racism that is inherent in that party - or in our own country for that matter? Honestly, this isn’t rocket science, folks!

But wait! It gets better! Now Glenn Beck is slated to become the Martin Loony King of the Far Right thanks to his stupid “March on Washington” yesterday.

Isn’t life interesting?

http://www.tomdegan.blogspot.com

Tom Degan
Goshen, NY

To all those Commiecrats that have taken over the house and senate,( you know who you are, and so do we ! ) Mr Wilson may have ruffled some feathers, but its ABOUT TIME ! . I for one Applaud His Actions. And as far as outbursts in the chamber? I beleave that there is a RULE that states there is to be NO outbursts from either party, Meaning? ( Cheers, Applause, etc. During Speaches) Until the speach has ended... Remember, The People Should NOT Fear the Government, However this adminstration thinks otherwise! . From the CZARS all the way down to our Marxist President, OUR eyes have been opened...
