Pelosi Is Against Another Afghanistan Troop Increase

“I don’t think there’s a great deal of support for sending more troops to Afghanistan in the country or the Congress,” Pelosi said.

Alongside Sen. Carl Levin’s (D-Mich.) opposition, the speaker of the House’s formulation suggests an implicit message: don’t ask us for more troops; don’t make us have to say no.
