As I recount in this morning’s story, the first of three days of Tea Party events in D.C. consisted of a political rally followed by direct lobbying between Tea Party activists and members of Congress — more typically, their staffs. Here is some of the material Tea Party activists got when they showed up at the FreedomWorks-run event at the Armory, before they went to the Hill.

Oliver Wendell Holmes asserted that we pay taxes for civility. WE THE PEOPLE pay taxes for civility. Those marching in Washington, inspired by Dick Army and Glen Beck, the potato people, the little people, the crazy people and the 'great unwashed' that hang out at FOX NEWS, owned by Mr. Murdoch, a man who kept a bust of Lenin on his mantelpiece and referred to Lenin in his letters home as “The Great Thinker,” are unpatriotic ingrates who supported a war of choice in Iraq at a cost of three trillion (Joseph Stiglitz) but oppose healthcare for all Americans.
Thomas Jefferson asserted that 'ignorance' is the greatest threat to our DEMOCRACY. These 'tea party people' and ignorance are synonymous.
Obviously, allowing immigration after 1800 to a country founded by Protestants and Deists for Protestants and Deists was a colossal mistake!

These rallies are nothing but hate-filled ignorant racists, America is going backwards fast. Its a mark of shame that the GOP wont disavow this descent into hate and bigotry they are fomenting.
