MVM never performed any security duties at the Embassy. During my time as the project manager I instituted mandated language training twice weekly for all Nepalese guards to ensure their language proficiency was up to the required standard, however I must also admit that there was an ongoing recrutiing challenge as there are only so many ex-British Army Gurkhas and we began to suffer the same fait as many other PSC's and allowed ex-Indian Army Gurkhas whose language skills are far below their British counterparts to creep into the mix.
