Sounds a lot like the BS offered in defense of the guards at Abu Ghraib. And since when is "could be worse, could be raping little girls and immolating her and her family" been any kind of standard of excellence for the United States?

How much of my tax bill is paying for these clowns to "blow off steam" with hookers and liquor in a Muslim country--representing us all--while the lives of embassy personnel depend on them?

If I tried anything like that stateside, I'd be fired, arrested, charged, and convicted by now. We have more "contractors" in Afghanistan than uniformed military. And yet, we're repeatedly jacked with the phrase, "our people in harm's way." We're so damn concerned about 'em, bring 'em home already.

Most of the people we've sent to Afghanistan are NOT there for the American values we pay our taxes to promote; no, they're there for the friggin' money. And when the hired guns of ArmorGroup or Triple Canopy or Blackwater kill people for no apparent reason, the locals most assuredly don't say, 'Oh, it wasn't the US military, don't take revenge on them.'

While we're paying for corporations to sell back to us the services of people the US taxpayer trained, real US military are taking the blowback, getting killed, because of these mall cops on steroids.

BTW, destiny called, she's waiting, wants to know if you're brave enough to meet her?

Destiny, once spurned, is notorious for not calling back. Keep that in mind while you wait for something ghastly enough to warrant your concern.

Busted for "partying too hard?" They're blowing off steam and most of it looks hilarious. It's not like they chained up an iraqi and threatened to electrocute him, or raped and murdered a little iraqi girl before burning her and her whole family alive... Call me when this becomes a real story...

POGO reports that it's whistleblowers were among those fired. If history is any guide the whistleblowers will be blacklisted from the industry but the party boys will be back in Iraq or Afghanistan on a new contract in a few months.
