Regarding (Bauer, et al's) quote comparing Bush, one of the worst presidents the US has ever seen, whose imbecilic and inane lapdog antics have permanently scarred our foreign policy, our economy, not to mention our self-esteem as a nation - to an articulate and once popular liberal, seems myopic and sides taking at best. As a Republican myself, embarrassed at how the Bush Administration pointed out the short comings and greed of “my party” and my country, I think I caught a whiff of what stinks in conservatives, nation-wide, coming back to haunt us, in those comments.

As a president, residing over his command and country, turning to education to empower and enable his constituency should seem second nature to the educated - to find flaw with that is another black eye and obvious symptom of the archaic side of Republicanism, and fearmongering , and what fails a strong and proud American. I’m curious if (they) were capable, interested, or articulate enough to go back to the drawing board and re-write a more empowering article, highlighting what should be done to better educate our coming generations, more than just creating controversy, finding flaw with anything done by the other side, turning their back on what needs to move our country forward, based on (their version) of “principles…”

I am a Christian, a Vietnam Veteran and former police officer. You ask what do "Whites" do for blacks in this country????? Are you serious? That is one of the saddest pathetic things I have heard from a "Christian"??? in a long time.

The black family has fallen apart. Who is ultimately responsible for that? 75% of black newborn children are "bastards". Who is ultimately responsible for that? You may feel guilty for what you have and/or haven't done but please don't paint with a broad brush Americans in this manner. We are the most loving, caring people in the world. (Save the genocide of abortion of course). Explain why Asians come to this country without anything but within a generation are starting businesses, graduating from college at high rates and succeeding in every field the enter....why is that?

We are not victims....everyone had rain fall on them. We are Americans with equal opportunity for all.....quit whining and step up and be responsible for your actions....Jesus will be proud.

mvpkali: First be sure and stay in school, you have a lot to learn. I'm 5'4" and my proper weight is between 130-140 pounds. 175 pounds is not the proper weight for anyone at 5'4", which is 45lbs overweight and constitutes obesity. Just because you don't agree, doesn't mean you should shout that everyone else should be quiet.
Note the spelling. Quiet not quite.

Makieduffil: Are you for real? The president has better things to do than worry about fat camp for kids, although someone should 5'4" and 175 is too heavy, especially at your age. My other question is where do you go to school. Do they teach spelling, grammar and punctuation at your school? I am pretty sure I could spell and write better than that when I was 10.
