‘Honor Senator Kennedy’

The Progressive Change Campaign Committee, an aggressive political action committee whose previous work included a campaign to collect daily donations until former Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) gave up his election lawsuits, has launched a site collecting signatures demanding that the Senate “name the reform bill that passed Sen. Ted Kennedy’s health committee ‘The Kennedy Bill’ — then pass it.” It’s what Sen. Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.) suggested, with a populist tilt.

On the other side of the Kennedy legacy debate, Conservatives for Patients Rights dropped its inexpensive but attention-getting Massachusetts-only ad campaign against health care reform, which is curious, as the ad they were running chastised President Obama for going on vacation without “fixing” the system.
