The Huckster has gone cookoo! He's embracing something straight out of science fiction. Everyone knows those "aeroplane" things will never work.

P.S. Is Weigel a parody of a tool, or just a tool?

Mike Fuckabee, please, this problem was addressed in the US when a defector from the Soviet Union flew a new jet to Korea or Japan and was paid $1 million dollars. The military inspectors had a good laugh about how crude the electronics were.

Then it suddenly dawned on one the more intelligent ones that maybe the Soviets were aware of something the usa had ignored. He screamed about electromagnetic impulses and convinced his superiors that this was no joke. That just like the best field weapon in world at that time, the AK47, that the Soviets were not stupid and did have good weapons.

I build a microwave transmission tower's concrete base under contract to the military procurement board in the 1970s. It took 5 years to get paid and some threats. But this was a crash job and I did it in the middle of the winter and I received 4 times my cost including labor for the job eventually. The specifications were so tight that I bid so I could pour and then, if necessary, blow up the slab and build another one three times.

But Fuckabee is about 40 years behind the times with everything so he's running at the same speed and time as he always has.

The concept of an EMP attack was a favorite of conservative fearmongers during the final stages of the Cold War in the 1980s and often seen in right-leaning World War III-type fiction of the time. The whole thrust of modern conservative national-security policy is awkwardly wedging their old Soviet-era ideas that became irrelevant with the end of the Cold War into today's world, so I'm surprised it took them this long to revive the EMP idea.S
