Without nominal conservative "buy-in" from the Republican minority, Obamacare will settle as a political burden entirely on the shoulders of the National Socialists (usta be called "Democrats"), and of this the "Liberals" are justifiably chary.

There is no political "credit" to be gotten from the nationalization of (depending on whose numbers you credit) 17% to 20% of America's GDP. Moreover, the health care sector of that GDP is presently the only area in which signs of real growth and potential for viability can be detected. Everything else has been stomped to death by government action.

What our Mombasa Messiah is demanding from his minions in the Congress is political suicide, and except for those few from solidly, cyanotically "Blue" districts and states (and therefore sure of their grasshopper tax-consuming constituencies), Barry's National Socialist co-religionists are justifiably freaked out about joining their Fraudulence-in-Chief in this horrendous smash-and-grab.

If the Republicans in the Senate have any sense at all (not likely!), they'll keep up their opposition to Obamacare tooth and nail. No mitigation can justify any "Yes" vote on their part, because the long-term purpose of Barry Soetoro (he's stated this explicitly) is to bring the whole of the health care sector under federal domination, and to drive the whole nation into his "public option" within approximately five years.

There must be no Republican "cover" for the National Socialists here. When Obamacare comes down in flames - and it will - the Republicans must be able to point solemnly to the National Socialists and tell the electorate "They're the ones who did this to you. Punish them!

In other words, "yeah, we're a minority, but until we're a teeny, weeny, itsy, bitsy, little minority, we should get to decide how to rule this country."

Dear Mr. Grassley, your party lost due to its incompetence at governing. Please shut up and get out of the way.

Let me see if I've got this right...

Sen.'s Grassley and Enzi are saying the Democrats need about 75-80 to pass this vote with confidence from the American public... is it me or are they conceding defeat? It seems like they're fully expecting a majority vote and are now trying to undercut what would be a clear victory for Dems.

Their grandstanding idiocy will be forgotten in 3 months with the legislation passes without their support and the American people are grateful simply for the fact they won't have to hear the republicans grandstand on Health care. . . . .until they start grandstanding on energy legislation.

Sounds like the new Democratic campaign slogan: all we need now is 75-80 votes, and maybe we'll pass something...
