Americans Still Blame Bush for Bad Economy
Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 3:09 pm
Interesting. A new Rasmussen Reports poll finds that, by a 16-point margin, Americans still blame the recession on former President George W. Bush’s policies instead of President Barack Obama’s policies. That’s unchanged since June, according to Scott Rasmussen.
The partisan gap is noticeable. Eighty-two percent (82%) of Democrats see Obama’s Republican predecessor as the cause of the nation’s current economic problems, while 64% of GOP voters blame the policies of the current Democratic president. Voters not affiliated with either party blame Bush more but by just eight points.
Still, that doesn’t bode well for the Republican campaign to start pinning bad economic news on Democratic management

What's also important to remember it's this isn't a 50-50 split. Only twenty-something percent of eligible voters are registered as Republican today. Betting a lot from that eighty-two percent Democrats are former Republicans who left the party over the Bush administration's failures.

Not that I condone any kind of “Blame Game” or anything like that, the administration most at fault for the recession are the executives of the big banks who allowed loans to be made that they knew couldn't be paid back.

the failed economy is on the republcans hands and they refuse to roll thier sleeves up and get in the water to help this president get this mess cleaned up. remember as adults and supposedly leaders of our nation these same republicans are sending a dangerous message to thier children and mine. when they become disrespectful, arrogant and just plain nasty.they lost, get over it and get back to doing what they was sent to washington to do. ” we wonder why we have so much juvenile crime”. look at the examples we as adults and leaders are showing.

We were already in a recession during last year's presidential campaign. It takes a stiff dose of Kool-Aid to forget that.
