Rasmussen Reports finds Rep. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) holding a narrow 41-38 lead against Democratic Illinois Treasurer (and likely nominee) Alexi Giannoulias. In his analysis, Scott Rasmussen admits that “much can change in the months ahead” and that the field is slanted toward Giannoulias; it’s just a bad month for Democrats, and it’s been tough for the party to shake free of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s (D-Ill.) outsized scandals.
The good news for Democrats? Giannoulias, who was welcomed into the race by a slapdash Fox News report accusing him of being corrupt, is right up there with Kirk in his favorable ratings. Kirk enjoys a 55-28 favorable rating, while Giannoulias is at 51-33. But by a 22-point margin, voters say they’re “less likely” to vote Democratic because of the Blagojevich scandals and the state budget.

There are other candidtes other than Kirk who are more qualified.

Kirk is a rino at the very least. Where are Andy Martin's polling stats? Andy Martin is the ONLY conservative running! Kirk and McKenna are part of the “combine”. When will the residents of Illinois realize the corruption in their state is 2nd to D.C.(Disgrace of Columbia)Illinois residents will have absolutely no representation if anyone other than Andy Martin is elected to the Senate. I challenge any and all to prove my statement false.

What a scam. I will not donate any monies to the National GOP or NRSC for their endorsement of Kirk. He is a RINO. There are several conservative senatorial candidates. They are: Don Lowery, Mark Wallace,and John Arrington.
Why don't you let us take the poll? We'll tell you.
