These poor, mistreated detainees are devoted members of the group that blew up 3000 innocent Americans and countless others around the world. They are obviously not people of honor--they don't even understand the meaning of the word. No one should be prosecuted for war time acts committed with the approval of their superiors--the idea is to change the rules first, BEFORE charging someone with breaking them.
Frankly, if information gained thru harsh methods of interrogation saved ONE American life,I would award the interrogators a medal!

Opposing Holder on this front is really silly. Anyone charged for stepping over the Bybee/Yoo line will undoubtedly formulate a defense that claims that the line was utterly arbitrary and unfounded in law. They'll argue that they're being selectively prosecuted and, in the process, go through the whole chain of command as part of their defense. One obvious tactic would be to discuss torture that occurred before the 8/1/2002 memos; sleep deprivation and forced nudity were used on Abu Zubaydah (and probably others) without even facetious legal clearance. In discovery, defendants will request everything that Obama's facing political difficulty releasing (and practical difficulties within the CIA, apparently) and whatever's not secret will be heard in open court. This will build a public case for prosecuting folks higher up the chain of command.

"it’s a beginning of finally starting to hold someone accountable. And I’m convinced that if it’s done seriously by a truly independent prosecutor, it will be a key step toward exposing the whole truth about what really happened during those dark Bush years. And, one way or another, the truth will come out"

Exactly!

Once Holder appoints a Special Prosecutor with a clear, easily understood, wide open instruction to follow all violations of any Federal Laws that the principals of the Bush Administration committed
we will still have a long way to go to get indictments,
SO KEEP THE PRESSURE ON THEM.

We have to make an example of the Bush criminals or it will happen again and again until we lose our most cherished freedoms.

SIGN THE PETITIONS
Demanding
both a Commission of Inquiry
and a Special Prosecutor
For All Their Crimes

at ANGRYVOTERS.ORG

http://ANGRYVOTERS.ORG

.
