No one on the side of “NO insurance for Illegals” have confused the two issues !!

The Status Quo are selling propaganda and downright lies, across the TV, radio bandwidths. LIES! Lies and more lies about both Health care and illegal immigration. The facts are that President Obama has an objective of introducing a Canadian and European type single payer system. In truth it's like a nationwide–MEDICARE–like all senior citizens receive now. It's only difference their will be–NO CO PAYS, DEDUCTIONS, NO PREMIUMS AND NO PRE -EXISTING CONDITIONS. The Special interest lobbyists, who work for the wealthy health care industry, are using every means possible to derail any kind of Universal health care. We must remember the British/English, French, German, Danish and other have been well accepted by their population for decades, with no worries about bankruptcy or Debt collectors calling. My health care in England, was first class when I lived in there, without financial worries and no detractions from profiteering insurance companies.

Since the inception of the European common market and the directive of open borders for cheap labor pouring into the industrialized nations, they have been overwhelmed by the impoverished needing health care. Such conditions didn't exist before the 1960's, as the their was no mass immigration and waiting periods. In America today and since the newest waves of legal and illegal immigration, costs to medicate these people have sky rocketed who have never paid one penny into the system. Each previous government never have restricted immigration, but allowed taxpayers to pay for their health care and welfare benefits. Each year approximately 1.5 million new immigrants are granted work visas and many become public charges. Now Obama is insisting on yet another AMNESTY, which will be even costlier to the American taxpayers, so says the Heritage foundation. American taxpayers should not have to subsidize US businesses, which has been happening for years? A large majority of pariah corporate executives, do not want any restrictions on foreign national workers, that is why they have tried to kill a mandated E-Verify identity data base, to extract all illegal immigrants from the working environment.

That SANCTUARY STATES like California must rescind illegal immigrant refuge policies. That President Obama's health care renewal plan—WILL–attract millions more impoverished people from around the world. That they can join with the 20 plus million already here, to get free medical care under the Democrats law now passing through Congress. MY QUESTION IS! These illegal aliens are getting health care now and they shouldn't even be in this Country!

Illegal aliens have made America the dumping ground for all their illegal alien children, then we have to school them and give them free medical care.

I for one, am sick and tired of these ILLEGAL ALIENS snubbing their nose at our immigration laws and the many other laws of this Country. If our Federal Government can not ENFORCE our immigration laws, and get these ILLEGAL ALIENS out of this Country, then let the States do it! One way or another, an end has to come to this illegal immigration, and not with AMNESTY! Amnesty will only encourage more ILLEGAL ALIENS to invade our Country and reward those who broke our laws and raped the American taxpayer in many ways…depressing our wages, taking our jobs, overwhelming our schools with their ILLEGAL ALIEN children, driving without a license or car insurance, all the crime from stolen identities to rape, drugs and everything else.

Like everyone, I see all the TV noise on the Health Bill and people speaking out. Politicians have at least six proposals. The Democrats try to spin the contents, when they don't even know what's there. The latest spin seen was NO Health Care BENEFITS for ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi says firmly that the health plan will NOT cover illegal immigrants.

Simply, PELOSI IS LYING. And she knows she is lying.

The Ugliest Part is Much Worse:
These Bills are designed to be Vague so that some Obama bureaucrat can write the applicable policy to the bill for enforcement. Of course this is AFTER the bill is passed and only How it's implemented.
Bottom Line is you will not know how this bill affects you until 6 months after it's a DONE DEAL. That's why they play these little games noted above, while they Lie to you in these Town Hall Meetings.

There is no doubt that dealing with immigration reform FIRST would eliminate this reason from the basket of illegitimate reasons to NOT deal with healthcare reform. But the national conversation (more of a yelling match) we have been having on healthcare will pale in comparison to what will happen when immigration reform and the dreaded “A” word comes to the forefront later this year. Oh, sure. Illegal immigrants will not get health coverage now, In their current state of illegal status…But what happens when Arlen Specter and his cronies who support “comprehensive immigration reform” turn the entire illegal population into “immigrants on a legal path to citizenship”????….You got it. Amnesty makes them eligible. that means around thirty million people get plunked into our tax funded health care system in the blink of an eye. Now, Mr. Spector, shame on You for assuming We were so naive.

Doesn't dealing with illegal immigration first seem like a better idea… remove the burden they put on the system then see what needs to be done.

As a hospital worker, I see both legal residents ( immigrants or not) and illegal residents as patients every day. Observations:

1.The law requires the ER to see every patient who comes in
2.It is illegal to refuse to admit a patient to hospital, or to transfer a patient elsewhere, based on their inability to pay (EMTALA law)
3. There is no expectation that the illegal patients will pay for their care; it is understood that they will not. Therefore, the hospital social workers immediately rush to sign them up for Medicaid – that way they can get a small reimbursement for the hospital from Medicaid for the illegal patients.
4. The legal patients ( immigrant and non-immgrant) are expected to pay for their care. If insured, they pay based on rules of deductibles, etc.. If uninsured, they are billed, sent to collections, etc.. (A common cause for personal bankruptcy in this country)
5. Mr. Specter, Mr. Obama, Ms. Pelsosi all claim that illegals won't be covered in the new National Healthcare. How can that work, given the laws described above?
6. To say that illegal immigrants “only receive emergency free care” at this time is patently untrue. They receive weeks, months of non-emergent hospital and rehab care every day at my 3 hospitals. (It is considered “unkind” to overtly ask or state that they are illegal – thus the larger and larger numbers of illegals being currently covered by Medicaid).

Please read the policies of England, Canada, Australia, France, Sweden, etc. regarding illegal immigrants and heath care coverage in those countries' National Healthcare systems.It is neither unusual nor a cruel aberration to refuse to cover illegal immigrants in a National Healthcare Plan in the rest of the world.

Hello–a Canuck, here. Some of MY observations:

*Illegals DO recieve medical care here. Our assylum laws and deportation procedures are even more of a joke than yours. Medicare (also the name of our Provincial healthcare plans) fraud is a HUGE problem.

*Other than the above, the care–and timeliness of care–in our system is generally excellent. The 'doctor shortage' was due to Medical Associations capping enrolment in medical schools, to “contain costs”. (In reality, this was to guarantee a sellers' market for doctors.) This has NOTHING to do with 'socialised medicine', despite what medical-financial sector-funded politicians (Democrat AND Republican) lie about.

*Politicians who are in the pockets of developers and the construction lobby (Democrats and Liberals, the British Labour Party and Aussie Liberal party) want more immigrants, since there has to be a constant stream of warm bodies to justify construction of housing and associated infrastructure (roads, schools). Hence, there probably won't be an exclusion of coverage of aliens.

*For reasons of healthcare system solvency and environmental sustainability, Canada, the U.S., Australia and Britain MUST halt mass immigration. We need to be more 'Yetzer Hara' about OUR citizens' entitlements to social programmes and a sprawl-free environment.

Congresional Research Service issued a report that states “Under H.R. 3200, a 'Health Insurance Exchange' would begin operation in 2013 and would offer private plans alongside a public option…H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange.”

There is more on Congressman Lamar's website, but it does cover illegal aliens, and the CRS further notes there are situations where they would be able to get the affordibility rebate.

The bill should be changed, in fact it should just be trashed.
