Over at The New Mexico Independent, Matthew Reichbach reports on a disturbing series of Twitter messages advocating violence against members of left-leaning organizations at health care town halls across the country.
A local libertarian, via Twitter, seemed to advocate violence against “ACORN/SEIU” if they decide to attend and/or disrupt health care town hall meetings. The user, @ScottEO, accuses ACORN and SEIU members of being provocateurs at the events.
The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) is a group that organizes in low-income and minority communities and is a usual conservative bogeyman. And the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is a large and growing union that has been heavily involved in the health care reform movement.
I asked Scott Oskay, via Twitter, “are you advocating violence against ACORN or SEIU members?” He responded, “I would advocate retaliation for intimidation, be it verbal or physical.”
Here are some of the messages:
if ACORN/SEIU attends these townhalls, take pictures of them, and of their license plates on anticipation of disruption. #iamthemob #tlot
Then:
If ACORN/SEIU attends these meetings for disruptive purposes, and you have a license to carry….carry.
Then:
If ACORN/SEIU attends these townhalls for disruption, stop being peaceful, and hurt them. Badly #iamthemob
Rep. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) has a town hall meeting on health care reform scheduled for Aug. 22 in Albuquerque.

Hurt them badly? You mean conservatives beating up black people? LMAO! Hilarious,! GOPers are a bunch of spineless cowards who are deathly afraid of blacks. Why do you think they all move to the suburbs and buy a bunch of guns?

White people move to the suburbs to get away from blacks and mestizos to improve their lives. The guns they buy have killed blacks and very unwise latinos; keeping more from following them to the suburbs to commit crimes. Alot of those white people are “anti-racists” and leftists too, Pedro.
