I voted for Mr. Romney for President in the Primary. I read his current book at that time disclosing that his Religion may effect him getting the votes needed to pull it off. I recognized this was a major hurdle for him, as if there is glass ceiling for Mormons. Discrimination is a word that works for every person. When we wake up in the morning, we choose what we wear, what eat, what time we take lunch and with who. We can;t live our lives without discriminating. Because the right to choose is discrimination. The manifest of which we choose is our destination. 'Justification' is the operative word for discrimination. 'Motive' is an engagement for an outcome.
I believe Mr. Romney has the appropriate experience, tools, education and public demeaner to be our next President.
He's not going to give our taxes away to the Automobile culture, however, he would focus on research in energy efficiency so that the Auto industry can run with the technology. Autos are personal/private property, not real estate property. The cotton gin was an invention that could be purchased as private property to help till the land. It helped replace manual labor. I can't finish this note without mentioning that our current President Obama has breached every perameter of Justice and Legislation when he robed our Treasury Department to give trillions of dollars away to the auto culture. I would have rather had walked like Forest Gump than insult mankind with President Obama's platform for trade. I do not believe in giving tax payers money on something that historically depreciates once it hits the road. How could Obama fumble the ball like this and remain pridefull? Mr. Romney's campaign was railroaded digitally by split votes. (ie., Undermined by a Christian Political carpet bagger).

If you are right about the book then I am happy. I am a Romney supporter, but I do believe American foreign policy has been arrogant. If you disagree with me that is fine. Guess I will just have to wait for the book to be more available and decide then. I just think Romney in his speeches on foreign affairs has been a little too close to Bush for me. The only thing I like about Obama is that he is not arrogant overseas. Other than that I can not stand Obama. I think he is a Socialist.

c'mon sky, writing a book pointing out what it is our nation has to be proud of and, more notably, how we can improve (the thesis of the book) is absolutely nothing like saying We Are Perfect. If you misunderstood the topic of the book, then I'm happy to have helped clear it up. If you insist Romney is still somehow "lying" by writing a book on improving our national condition, well then it's safe to say that you're the only liar here.

As a Mormon I can not agree with Romney that America is great. I think he is kissing up to Evangelicals on this one. America was the nation that did ethnic cleansing to Mormons. I agree as nations go America is better than many nations and I would not want to live anywhere else but honestly Mitt America is not perfect and it is ok with me if we admit that. I do not believe Mormons, Americans or any group is perfect. I agree with Mitt on the economy but if he keeps pushing this my country right or wrong crap I might vote for Obama. Sorry Mitt my family is an old Mormon family too and I admire you but I will not support you when you lie.

Explain or list Romney's "every flip-flop", Dave. Firstly, a flip-flop may be just two words and two syllables, but it requires three points: going from A to B and back again to A. A change of one's mind is not a flip-flop. In 2004 John Kerry was for things then against them and then for them again, which is how the term was born. Every election shows candidates espousing positions that are different from something in their records. OF the 2008 candidates, no one had more changes of positions than Obama and McCain.

Yet Mitt Romney was a flip-flopper? The term stuck to him because he was unknown and his opponents, which was the rest of the GOP field, had little ammunition against him due to his actually having a private sector record and one term as Governor, where he accomplished much, and so they all just adopted the same tactic to brush him off and label him a flip-flopper. It may have worked to a degree, but of the 2008 candidates, only one remains relevant and viable going forward. So, let's let the books come out and we'll maybe use that as a reset point to honestly evaluate the merits of candidates Obama may face for the 2012 cycle.
