MUSKEGON, Mich. — Here’s some late-breaking video of a press conference Sen. John McCain gave today under a tree in Grand Haven, Mich., on the bank of the Grand River. McCain is in the area to attend a fund raiser at the private residence of once-notorious Republican activist Peter Secchia in Ferrysburg, Mich., near Grand Rapids. After McCain ordered a corn dog at Pronto Pup, a local favorite, the presumptive GOP nominee again asserted that "we have succeeded" in Iraq "politically, economically and militarily" because of the troop surge. He then took a few questions on topics ranging from the potential political nature of Obama’s upcoming visit to Europe to whether his proposed gas tax holiday should be extended beyond Labor Day. Enjoy.
