Only eight of the 36 senators the NRA endorsed have jumped ship on an obviously qualified nominee, and most of them are Democrats, and Doug Pennington takes this as a sign that the NRA has lost its influence? Hmm. And his quote is factually wrong. They in fact HAVE been able to keep most of the votes of the senators they endorsed.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I think the tone on Judge Sotomayor, which was mostly favorable after her hearings, from both sides, noticeably shifted after the NRA decided to score the vote.</description>

		<description>If it wasn&#039;t for the gun nuts the government would have had to provide much more stimulus.  How many kooks ran out and bought guns when Obama was elected and since the election?  How high are ammunition prices now?  Obama couldn&#039;t have gotten that kind of stimulus through Congress if he begged.  Thanks gun nutters!</description>
